The #Archive30 tag of today is #ArchiveGoals, which we are interpreting a little different this time: this photograph from 1919 is of the Stirlingshire Constabulary Football Club which scored the winning goal in that year's Scottish Police Challenge Cup!
@5000mgmt It's actually a big mystery and have been debated over for years! One possible explanation is that the site was used as a potato farm prior to the church being built.

The Cow Wynd is also home to the Tattie Kirk - Established in 1747 as a split from the Falkirk Associate Church by members of the Anti-Burgher movement. Behind the manse is a small burial ground, the earliest grave from 1806.
