Does Atlanta have a corruption problem? Why are they trying to dismantle the Office of the Inspector General (OIG)? The office that investigates fraud, corruption, abuse, and waste?
City Council will be voting on the changes to the OIG as early 2.17.25 https://t.co/cR5xDvAlfk
🤔 so what are they trying to hide? This so called overhaul would remove the ability to investigate corruption and appointments to the board would be controlled by the mayor among other things…. Seems a tad bit shady don’t you think?
Yesterday, @atlcouncil introduced & advanced a 42 page sub that is *worse* than the original. This remains a power grab by people who don’t want to be accountable. One demand is a work session so that the public can hear exchanges between the city and the @atloig for themselves.

Federal raids & subpoena service were once common at City Hall. Now that @atloig protects the public from abuse & corruption, some @CityofAtlanta actors attack the OIG & go back, leaving us with law enforcement as the only independent recourse. https://t.co/8dbfmN8vuP
We start the New Year with a reminder for Mayor Andre Dickens and his administration that our communities want care, not corruption. @PADatlanta should be providing services now. Its contract and funding must be honored as awarded. Hear from members of council on 11/18/24.
While folks are over here espousing their positions around “new” party leadership I wish they put half as much energy in to holding current leaders accountable… starting with fully funding Atlanta PADs awarded contract… ijs 🤷🏾♀️#gapol#padnotpolitics
Happy Veterans Day to all who have served!
Unfortunately many times there is a lack of resources and support for our veterans. This is one of the many reasons that the Policing Alternatives and Diversion Initiative is so important for veterans and the community at large.
It’s a shame how the City of Atlanta is playing games with awarded funding. Check out todays episode of We The People as Dee Cee and I talk about PAD #community#padnotpolitics https://t.co/Lwxcf7MoxE
@southerncenter and @ColorOfChange will join @ACLUofGA for a press conference today at 11am the Fulton County Jail as they discuss their new report & we share police violence data in Atlanta. https://t.co/OSavn1KOb9
