@Steal_your_shit Yeah, the AI pilots work best in LRM machines. Trying to get them to use anything else results in more repairs and injury time. Best to have most your Lance as LRM boats and you play whichever you want. Unless you got friends and play Co-Op

Support weapons fire when you melee attack and you can run up and kick a fool and then roast them up; makes for turning really heavy energy platforms into helpless targets as they wont be able to fire when their cockpits are on fire.
@Shiiro_MeRu Ammo availability, you can find 5.45x39 BP/BT in 30/120 boxes very commonly, allowing you to run moderate to high end rounds at most parts of the wipe
7.62x39s are also good with PS rounds; which scavs can spawn with, check any of their 7.62x39 guns for it and grab it.

@Drakon_Fire286 A scouting unit in any command lance makes an excellent addition for forward recon and countering enemy lights trying to sneak in. Can’t run away if you can keep up to them and the Assassin always was excellent against other lights.
@DeltyThe73rd Centurions a solid medium, the LRM models a bit more fire supporty but it fits
Shadowhawk makes an excellent flanker/quarterback style unit
Jagermech is paper thin armour but lots of gun, good fire support. Don’t let it get shot
Vindicator fills a similar role to Shadowhawk
@DeltyThe73rd Not a bad mech per say, but it’s a mech meant to command a company worth of units (12). Sadly base game only lets you take one lance (4) into combat and it’s not exactly all that well armoured or offensively capable in stock configuration, but if you work around it can be good.
@EnclaveEmily I havent really modded mine much, just a few QOL and unofficial patches, and ive only had one crash that i can recall myself beyond the initial issues when i first installed it on my PC
@Drakon_Fire286 Solid all rounder, ATMs keep you a threat even at range. And up close they hit harder than SRMs. Only real downside is you needing 3 tons of ammo to keep your options open.
@Drakon_Fire286 Yeah, it’s still quite the nasty combo. Quick mech with a good few heavy lasers to punch holes in armour then some crit weapons to fish for crits after you cut a few holes in their armour. Plus the machine guns double for anti-BA/infantry duty. Plus hey, jump jets!
@Drakon_Fire286 Yeah, Conji 4’s price is mainly that XL engine eating up a ton of cost, derate it and go standard you might make it work but mobility will suffer.
