@Costaro88 @KyrallTheGreat @SpencrGreenberg I was born in USSR, government made sure there were no landlords. My parents couldn’t get a house because no one would build any. Government would build some crappy concrete shelters you had to wait for decades. People would way rather pay an immoral landlord if they could.

I think most renters don’t realize how much property taxes, insurance, maintenance, upkeep is involved in ownership. Anytime there is more regulation, “fair system” it’s both renter and landlord who suffer

@KyrallTheGreat @SpencrGreenberg Im a landlord. I had multiple years where i had net loss on my properties, didn’t think of renter badly. I also have rented myself when i thought it made sense (instead of owning). I guess im struggling to see ill-intent in a mutually beneficial and consented arrangement.
