@CharlieBarnicle@IrishIron32@Rusten7 If neither of our strikers could hold down a starting spot for the majority of last season it means we clearly did need it.
-So what is a good indicator if it’s not an entire fanbase or neutrals?
@CharlieBarnicle@IrishIron32@Rusten7 Why would it be stupid for wanting to upgrade in a position that was clearly flagged as needs improvement.
Tbf amongst neutrals its was consensus too so that must indicate something.
@CharlieBarnicle@IrishIron32@Rusten7 We actively looked for better options which says everything. in the summer the general consensus was if we went into the season with Barry up front the window was a failure to which it was.
@CharlieBarnicle@IrishIron32@Rusten7 I just don’t get it if we got a half decent striker in the summer he barely sniffs our team
So why on earth would he get into a Brighton team that’s ripping the prem to shreds atm?
@CharlieBarnicle@IrishIron32@Rusten7 He’s not slow but he’s definitely not got the pace Beto has where you’d back him in a foot race.
Call a spade a spade with his finishing
DCL im not sure I had my own opinion of him can’t comment on others
@CharlieBarnicle@IrishIron32@Rusten7 Do we watch the same player? The only pros I’ll give him is that he wins headers and gets into good positions in the box.
His hold up play is terrible
His runs outside of the box are terrible
His linkup play 90% of the time is below par it’s like he’s playing hot potato
@CharlieBarnicle@IrishIron32@Rusten7 He’s missed the most big chances itl everything’s not all on him but his overall game which is awful doesn’t even compensate for his poor finishing
@MarkN1878 Started and ended last season poorly but overall thought he was alright last year thought criticism of him was overblown. you know what your gonna get with him
