The new uniforms are enough to bring me out of my x hiatus. @NHSEngland THE FACT THAT B6 are the same as B5 is OUTRAGEOUS! not only is this incredibly unsafe, but it's totally demoralising for those of us that worked so hard for our senior scrubs!! #nhsuniforms#nationaluniform
Over 100,000 nursing staff voted for further #RCNStrike action in England, but harsh laws imposed on trade unions mean we have not met the threshold needed for a mandate to be achieved.

This x-ray is of a child presenting to the emergency department with the No. 1 cause of death in children in the USA.
I've been an Emergency Medicine doctor in the UK for 15 years and I have not once seen this presentation in an adult let alone a child.
What does that tell you?
I just really wonder what goes through peoples heads to think it’s acceptable to continuously interrupt a team of healthcare professionals in a MEDICAL EMERGENCY IN THE WAITING ROOM to ask about their waiting time/blood results.
Some stern talking was done today.
@thegradmedic Thanks for the support, we all need to work together to ensure everyone is paid their worth! AfC is widely acknowledged to disadvantage nurses vs other HCP's and is more nuanced than info online. Don't believe everything you read, and be kind ✨️ ❤️
@thegradmedic I am a nurse in Central London, my starting salary was NOT £32,000. It is £28,000, after tax and student loan I take home about £1700 a month. I have a MSc in Nursing, and 3 years experience....
The NHS has a never ending pot of money for jobs like this;
Over £100k for being a Director of Lived Experience
But apparently no money to give doctors, nurses and paramedics anything other than years of real terms pay cuts.

I am enjoying a lot of anti-NHS tweets this evening… “they make their bed they lie in it, let in the private companies” being amongst them. They realise we’d all earn SIGNIFICANTLY MORE if we privatised right? Like, 400% more. And yet, almost universally, we’re all pro-NHS…
Nurses and midwives please stop going on national news saying you don't go in to it for the money but the calling.
As soon as you put forward this argument your undermine your requirement for a payrise.
You are worth more. You should earn more. You deserve more. End of
The NHS is in crisis.
Patients are unsafe.
Our members are saying loud and clear: enough is enough.
For the first time in the RCN’s history, our members have mandated strike action throughout the UK.
RT to support nursing.

So the government are telling nurses, to consider their patients before they go on strike.
This comment is entirely insulting to all nurses. The government should consider the patients when they are setting the pay of those who are caring for them.
