"Im really appreciative of the relationship between Rey and Kylo, and what the writers managed to do with it. This kind of love/hate relationship. They were attracted to each other in spite of their will" — [DAISY RIDLEY]
Left side. Fruits Basket was like my proper intro to anime back in the day. I had watched Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, Rurouni Kenshin, and Ranma 1/2 before that, but not like, fully. Those were just the anime that were on TV. Fruits Basket was lent to me by a friend :)
In relation to the Lindsay Clancy trial, do people understand the standard of what “beyond a reasonable doubt“ means?
I don’t think they do. Regardless of what you feel or think about this trial, I personally do not believe there is evidence to convict her beyond a reasonable doubt.
The investigation by the police was botched.
They should have automatically assumed the husband was a potential culprit.
They did not do that.
I am shocked by that to be honest.
"Did you test this powder?"
"No."
"So how do you know what it was,"
"The husband said."
"Did you hear her confess?'
"No."
"So why arrest her?"
"The husband said."
"Did you do a thorough investigation of the events, the place, the evidence?"
"No."
"So why are you convicting her?"
"The husband said."
"Does she remember doing this?"
"No."
"Why does she say she did?"
"The husband told her she did."
Are you seeing a pattern here???
“You never owned your games” is a dishonest way to frame this.
We never owned the copyright. Obviously. But when I bought a PS4 game, I owned that copy. I could play it forever, lend it to a friend, sell it, or give it to my kid 30 years later.
Digital storefronts take those rights away while continuing to use words like “BUY” and “PURCHASE.”
If what I’m paying $100 for is actually a temporary license, call it that. Use a word like RENT at check out.
Losing physical media is losing the ability to own a copy of our games in any form.
@fromsoftserve They need to remove the word “purchase” or “buy” if you aren’t going to permanently own the product. All these streaming and gaming companies.
Unpopular opinion, museums should not have to close bc lack of funding. My taxes should be going to them and not some foreign country to bomb civilians
@retrostyleNINJA These are fictional characters, so real world logic doesn't apply. Not sure which movie/series this is about, but that def falls inside the actions an enemy would do whilst still an enemy. Depends on how the writing makes it make sense that this character forgives the other, Ig.
I think a lot of people confuse "rivals to lovers" or "hate to love" with "enemies to lovers". Enemies to lovers requires that the characters are, well, enemies, at first. Enemies do all sorts of foul things to each other. That's why they're enemies.
every time i read complaints about how an 'enemies to lovers' ship is too problematic' it's clear that a lot of people only 'like' etl bc is trendy.
etl MUST be problematic. the angst is that you fall in love with someone who has killed your family/friends.
remember when women who survived it said the ship broke in half before sinking and men “experts” kept saying that wasn’t possible until they found the wreck and proved them right
Also if they'd see the full trial they'd know that there wasn't even her DNA nor fingerprints on the scene of the crime. Not even on the knife. The evidence presented proves nothing. There must've been a 3rd party or her husband did it. Just what I conclude from the evidence.
The way the LC case has exposed how many men think women fake PPD is... disappointing, but also not surprising. Misogynistic men keep exposing themselves. PPD is real. My mom struggled with it for over 2yrs after my sister was born. Lost her job and everything.
