The Giants, on the same day, signed Odell Beckham and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Two more veterans who played their best football some years in the past, but have now entered the mix in New York for the Giants to find out if they have much (anything) left.
Lots of deals on June 1st, both signings (OBJ, JuJu) and trades, one as expected (A.J. Brown to Patriots). A more surprising deal had the Browns making a push for the top pick in next year's NFL Draft by trading away franchise pass rusher Myles Garrett.
Are the Rams all in?
Lamar Jackson looks like a key player heading into drafts this summer. He’s had some monster seasons but he dipped last year.
Jackson is now 29 heading into his 9th season. He’s averaged over 6.3 yards per carry four times, but he was over a yard short of that average last year.
If you’re interested in trying to catch Luther Burden emerging in his second season, you better not wait too long in your draft. The cat is kind of out of the bag, after two days of OTAs.
Will you be looking at Burden for your drafts?
If there's a roster where a rookie wide receiver seems very likely to make an immediate impact, it's Miami. Not necessarily because their rookies are so remarkable, but because the competition is so very modest.
Could one of the Dolphins wideouts be a sneaky late pick?
Josh Jacobs was arrested over the weekend, charged with domestic abuse that includes a couple of felonies. It's early and Jacobs' representatives "vehemently deny" any wrongdoing, but it's a situation that's going to have to play out.
How will this impact the Packers’ backfield?
Second-year players like Colston Loveland, Harold Fannin and Tyler Warren should dominate early selections at tight end this year, but there's also a later one that should generate interest. Tennessee's fourth-rounder out of Texas, Gunnar Helm.
The new coaching staff for the Giants wants Jaxson Dart to run less. That’s not surprising, and it may mean he’ll be falling short of expectations in his second season.
Will Dart still be running this year?

At Buffalo’s offseason workouts, Joe Brady is going out of his way to say that Keon Coleman remains very much in their plans. Coleman was the first pick of the second round in 2024, but has done little so far.
Can Coleman still make an impact with the Bills?
