Today's Dirt Rich features a conversation with someone who needs little introduction... listen in as Gabe Brown and Jared Luhman discuss how building healthy soils and stacking enterprises can boost farm profitability. Listen wherever you get podcasts! https://t.co/66FcyoRN4Z
This is a great interview from @realagriculture regarding on-farm trials. They may be talking corn but the concepts apply to wheat/barley/canola/peas/etc. https://t.co/Cllknn5zwY
“Good water management is one of the most important factors in crop production. Though you can’t control when it rains, how you manage your soil greatly impacts how it handles water, especially in times of excess or drought.” https://t.co/yLKDCZha8i

Where does safe food begin?
All food begins in the soil. Healthy soils, free of chemical residues, are a requirement in the production of safe food.

Soil is our most valuable resource for the sustainability and productivity of Ontario’s agriculture and food industry. Its long-term health and conservation remain a key priority for OFA and Ontario farmers https://t.co/Bvh1O5ISKl #ontag#soilhealth
@TimingMattersON Sustainability = Health
Healthy crops, yields, water, air, animals, and people. But it all begins with healthy soil. https://t.co/W5OURAwVxy
If you're worried that your manure pit will retain a buildup of solids, even after pumping, it's not too late to liquefy most (or all) of those solids before your fall pumping. Add Manure Liquefier (live microbes which digest and liquefy solid matter).

While the use of sugar or molasses in agriculture has become somewhat popular, and somewhat effective, our pH Buffer product is 10 -12 times more effective on a calorie basis. Farm For Profit customers are pleased to see great results with less cost and less sticky messes.
Our review on soil health, led by @JLehmannCornell,
"Scientists should embrace soil health as an overarching principle that contributes to sustainability goals, rather than only a property to measure."

@CnafzigerCheryl 6 kg Copper Sulphate mixed with 120 L warm water
2 L FarmForProfit pH Buffer
2 L Emulsified Soybean Oil
The pH Buffer lowers pH of water even when manure gets mixed in. This solution makes the sulphate more effective and longer lasting.
Can substitute copper with Zinc Sulphate.
"Microbial diversity is a large part of the #biodiversity that is being lost & these microbes are essential for maintaining healthy ecosystems."
