Trust Fund ($6.70), the fave among a trio of 2-1 shots, gets up late under @KendrickCarmou1 to win SAR 3rd. Third consecutive win for Trust Fund, trained by @PletcherRacing. Runaway Joke (4th) was pulled up on gallop out and was walked onto equine ambulance. Did not look injured.

Not every win is the same. Ouster, who shows up every time opened 2025 on a positive note. Off since May, put into the race early by @KendrickCarmou1 for @Hennigracing, he’s all class. Thanks also to @HoganEquine for their care and support on his frequent visits..

[Windylea Farms, LLC @FarmWindylea]

@bernielootz34 @DRFGrening Basically offered to fund his retirement expenses. I’m sure the connections thought he would be competitive today. Nobody could predict this outcome but retirement seemed imminent based on his declining form. It’s just a very sad unnecessary outcome.

@nytbreeders Thank you to team Weaver for their patience with this colt. He was well prepared today!

[NYTB @nytbreeders]

A big debut score by Not for Hire kicks off Empire Showcase Day! The two-year-old #NYbred is a homebred for @FarmWindylea. Jose Lezcano aboard for George Weaver.
