A defence lawyer can easily identify someone who needs things to be explained in more simple terms.

You either have to have an agenda or an inability to absorb information to not understand what they say.

He will probably end up with 6 months now whereas it would have probably been 18 months for a not guilty plead.

Someone plead guilty to throwing an object at the Police during a riot and legislation says that they are likely to recieve up to 3 years.

What part should worry us?

Normal people don't go around participating in riots, do they?

There is a need for the state to discourage riots and if your'e caught participating in one the relevant legislation is unambiguous in what will happen: your sentence will be increased.

The press have no say on sentencing...
