In the alternate archives, a group of Black American women who somehow ended up in Berlin as cultural attachés (don’t ask) sat Hitler down and said, “Baby, you do NOT invade Russia in the winter. That is a whole different type of cold. Your soldiers will freeze their balls off and the Soviets will just keep coming.” Hitler, being a chronically un-listening man, waved them off. If he had listened, Army Group South never gets encircled, the oil fields stay in German hands, and the Eastern Front collapses in 1943 instead of grinding on until 1945.
@ChristianHeiens Russians never rose up and 60 million were killed sometimes people just get crushed, we need to focus on winning as much as possible not just waiting till until conditions are horrible enough that the people spontaneously erupt
