Just another reminder I'm still working on the GE-Proton 11 video playback rework. It's a huge task I've been working on non-stop since March. I've squashed all of the major bugs and am currently just cleaning up regressions that came with the 10->11 rebase of this video rework
We keep improving RPCS3 for both new and old hardware!
Five years ago, we added support for AMD HD 5000/6000 GPUs from 2009. How has performance evolved on old hardware since then?
Here's a then and now comparison!

Flathub has updated their policy to explicitly ban the usage of AI / LLM in the development of any software.
“Applications containing AI-generated or AI-assisted code, documentation, or other content are not allowed.”
Flathub is a Flatpak powered “App Store for Linux”, popular among GNOME users.
New 610 NVIDIA Driver is rolling out.
It introduces a new Color Pipeline (for HDR), which some compositors do not support yet.
KDE and Gnome should be fine, but other compositors could run into issues when HDR is enabled.
You can pass nvidia_drm.color_pipeline=0 to disable it.
I have not actually played a video game in like 3 months. All of my spare time has been going towards making wine/proton play videos correctly. some bugs are easy, some take days or weeks and it's mind numbing. I really just want to play + stream some diablo 4 tbh.

Linux now supports NVIDIA Reflex and AMD Anti-Lag on any graphics card, bringing much better responsiveness to gaming.
A new open-source tool called low_latency_layer makes this possible on AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA GPUs.
It uses the same signals games already send for Reflex and Anti-Lag, so titles that previously supported only NVIDIA now run smoother on other cards too.
It pairs well with Steam Play and Proton, allowing Windows games on Linux to benefit from these low-latency features. Tests in Counter-Strike 2, THE FINALS, Cyberpunk 2077, and Overwatch 2 show reduced input lag, often matching or beating Windows versions.
Developed by Nicolas James, the free tool is available on GitHub at https://t.co/w6xGDI00hn

This is no longer “Linux gaming is improving.”
This is:
Linux gaming becoming genuinely cutting edge.
@LudensLudonauta It does with the desktop portal. Use that & don't complain about how we're not tying global shortcuts to the window protocol.
Also, XWayland still exists and you can use that, like how @bee_fumo demonstrated
