Regarding the Moniepoint situation, I’ll be honest, there was a time I would have jumped on a Twitter Space and written threads breaking everything down.
But these days, I’m choosing peace, especially on conversations like this.
At the end of the day, everyone is speaking from their own reality and multiple truths can exist at once.
Companies say there’s a shortage of talent.
Talents are leaving because they feel the system doesn’t support global standards, whether in compensation or culture.
At the same time, many HR teams aren’t fully aligned with the ecosystems they’re hiring from, which affects how they structure their processes.
And then there’s the gap with junior talent, many companies hesitate to invest in them, yet still struggle to find experienced professionals.
So really, everyone is right… just from different angles.
