To all offended #BAFTA luvvies.
You proclaim to be inclusive. You call yourselves progressive. You chant #BeKind at every opportunity.
Last night was your moment. Your moment to show how inclusive, progressive, and kind you are. You failed. BIG TIME. Reflect.
WATCH THE FILM.
This was the response when John Davidson said ‘Fuck the Queen’ to her face while receiving his MBE.
“One of the officials put his hands on my shoulder and said, ‘Don’t worry, the Queen understands’, and at that point I felt accepted. Her Majesty was very kind”

"‘His mum and dad broke down in tears when they saw what happened to him & Delroy, & it has been a horrible 48 hours for the family. He postponed some plans in London to spend time with his parents as he recovers.’
🤦♂️
Recovers?
F*ck Me Backwards
Show me on the doll where the nasty man (who's life story about dealing with a disability & all the prejudice and ignorance about it which has just won a BAFTA) hurt you....
So a man invited to the BAFTA’s as inspiration for a film demonstrating the horrific hostility and lack of understanding people with Tourette’s face… is now facing horrific hostility and a lack of understanding over his Tourette’s?
Have I got that right? 🤦
Love, Compassion & Understanding
Didn’t watch the BAFTAs last night but this morning you cannot escape the story of Tourette’s Syndrome sufferer John Davidson MBE shouting out offensive words beyond his control. That is after all what happens with this condition.
Please show your love, compassion and understanding for people who struggle with this often debilitating condition.
We need more love, compassion & understanding in modern day life.
Yanks losing their minds over John Davidson last night. Has there ever been a better example of missing the fucking point. Wish I could block the fucking lot of them with one click. As John himself might inadvertently say "cunts".
This will probably go down as one of the most bizarre tweets I've posted.
John Davidson, a man that has battled tourettes syndrome most of his life. A condition that causes the person to have involuntary outburts of random words is now actually being cancelled because he had an involuntary reaction and said the N-word on TV.
Fuckin' hell!
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend people watch the movie, I SWEAR.
It is an incredible piece of cinema about John's life that saw him face bullying, corporal punishment, his family fall apart because of his condition but battle through it all and receive an MBE from the Queen.
Honestly take a long hard look at yourself if you're giving him a hard time.
PS, GFY!
@narindertweets@BAFTA "Racial Trauma"
Fuck me if thats the worst thing he has heard in his life he has led a very sheltered life...
Get them both to watch the film then they "might" have a slightly better understanding of the guys aflicton.
In one evening, John Davidson's involuntary outbursts at the BAFTAs have done more to raise worldwide awareness of Tourettes than anything else.
I really hope that people will now go and see the movie 'I Swear'
I laughed and I cried. Such a beautiful film

Tell me you have NO CLUE about Tourettes without telling me you have no clue about Tourettes
There are a shed load of black folk jumping on the "John Davidson was being racist" & they all need to give their head a wobble
He, called me a fat cunt, & I am
@Number10cat Some sort of bronze sculpted memorial in Number 10's gardens is entirely appropriate of course Larry, where you can keep an eternally watchful eye on the goings on and remind them to behave appropriately.
I love the police, really I do - but for heavens sake there is absolutely no point sitting behind someone who cant legally move out of the way with your blues & two's going beeping your horn
YOU can drive on the wrong side of the road, us mere mortals can not @LancsPolice
