Because the backlash, the merch being pulled from shelves, the potential that the PGA event in November cuts the brand. Too fast and too big to be a response to this ad alone.
While never directly impacted, layoffs are brutal. Whatever the reason, if you “survive” cuts where 25-50% of the workforce was eliminated, you’re no longer working for the same company.
New leadership, new product direction, quotas go up and your support dwindles to next to nothing.
Sales became desperate. Prospects knew it.
Weekly forecasts turned daily. CEO who hadn’t seen the product function in a decade asked me if I would commit my forecast “in blood” (lol, no)
I was always grateful to have made it through and would stay and clean up late stage deals but started looking for other opportunities.
Writing was always on the wall, and waiting for the next round of cuts is beyond stressful.

@GolfTravelerJoe Traveled to Las Vegas last year for work and got on @ Las Vegas Country Club. $400 for the round. Bought a polo and a couple other things. Even in Vegas I felt like $400 was a lot, and was pretty disappointed in the course.
