En 1986, la Asociación Médica Estadounidense publicó un artículo titulado "La muerte física de Jesucristo". En él se detalla todo el proceso, desde el juicio de Jesús hasta su muerte en la cruz. En Lucas 22, antes de que Jesús fuera arrestado, se describe que estaba muy angustiado y sudaba sangre.

Aunque es poco común, se conoce como hematidrosis, una afección causada por altos niveles de estrés. En aquella época, la crucifixión se consideraba la peor muerte para los peores criminales. Pero Jesús no solo sufrió esto. Fue azotado con tal severidad que le desgarró la carne.

Lo golpearon tan brutalmente que le desgarraron el rostro y le arrancaron la barba. Una corona de espinas de 5 a 7,5 centímetros de largo se clavó profundamente en su cuero cabelludo. El látigo de cuero con el que lo azotaron tenía pequeñas bolas de hierro y huesos afilados.

Las bolas le causaron heridas internas, mientras que los huesos le desgarraron la carne. Sus músculos esqueléticos, venas e intestinos quedaron expuestos, provocándole una gran pérdida de sangre. La mayoría de los hombres no sobreviven a este tipo de tortura.

Después de ser azotado severamente, Jesús fue obligado a cargar su cruz mientras la gente se burlaba de él y le escupía. La crucifixión era un proceso diseñado para infligir un dolor insoportable, provocando una muerte lenta y agonizante.

Clavos de hasta 20 centímetros de largo fueron clavados en las muñecas y los pies de Jesús. Los soldados romanos sabían que los tendones de las muñecas se desgarrarían y se romperían, obligando a Jesús a usar los músculos de su espalda para poder respirar.

¡Imaginen la lucha, el dolor, el valor...! ¡Jesús soportó esta realidad durante 3 horas! El Evangelio de Juan relata que, tras la muerte de Jesús, un soldado romano le traspasó el costado con una lanza, y de él brotó sangre y agua.

Los científicos explican que, debido a un choque hipovolémico, la taquicardia provoca la acumulación de líquido en la membrana que rodea los pulmones y el corazón.

Esta acumulación de líquido en la membrana que rodea el corazón se denomina derrame pericárdico, y en los pulmones, derrame pleural. Para el mundo, el cristianismo es una tontería. Creen que es para los débiles. Pero cuando uno se enfrenta a la realidad de la cruz, está claro que no es una imagen agradable. Es brutal y espantosa.

Este es el peso que Jesús cargó. El peso de los pecados del mundo, todo para que podamos vivir. La ira de Dios se satisface plenamente en Jesús. Esto es lo que se necesitó.

¡Arrepiéntete y cree! Jesús es «Dios entre nosotros» encarnado. Jesús es nuestro Salvador. Jesús te ama tanto que sufrió este castigo espiritual y físico por tus pecados y los míos.

Jesús es el SEÑOR, Dios Todopoderoso, Padre Eterno.

Yankees legend Jorge Posada, a 4-time World Series champion and one of the faces of the dynasty years, (The Core 4) did not hold back during his interview on Abriendo El Podcast.

Posada said today’s game has become too robotic, too obsessed with formulas, and too accepting of strikeouts.

“The baseball being played today is garbage,” Posada said.

He also pushed back hard on the analytics crowd trying to judge Derek Jeter’s defense strictly through modern numbers.

“You can’t judge Jeter through a computer.”

That line right there is pure old-school Yankees.

Posada came from an era where putting the ball in play mattered. Moving runners mattered. Taking pride in not striking out mattered. He said back then, striking out 100 times in a season felt like you were not doing your job.

Now? Guys can strike out constantly, hit 30 home runs, bat .202, and still get paid like stars.

You don’t know what’s factual or what fictional because it’s all become a blur. We live in dangerous times.
