Bullish 🟢
• China soybean imports hit record high in September with 12.9m tons

• China's fall harvest gets disrupted by abundant rainfall, also impacting planting of winter grains

• France AgriMer raises wheat exports, cuts ending stocks. Exports intra-EU got raised by 0.3m to 7m tons.

• Brazil pledged to 4x biofuel output by 2035 at COP30

Bearish
• Brazil's bean planting goes fast with 14% completed, the third fastest on record. Apparently, planting conditions are very good. Corn is 45% planted

• Brazil's Conab raises 2025/26 corn crop to 139m tons, down from 141m last season. Beans seen at 178m tons, up 6m tons

• Trump threatens a ban of Chinese cooking oil imports. While bullish on the surface for soybean(-oil) it shows that agriculture is dragged deeper and deeper into the trade war battlefield. China is the world’s largest ag importer.

• Western Australia‘s grain crop may hit record, Grain Industry Association

• Argentina's corn planting goes fast too with 30% planted vs 22% 5y average. Planting conditions are good

• China is holding back bids for Brazilian beans due to high premiums over US

- Trump wants to discuss China’s soybean buying in his next meeting with Xi raising hopes for a resumption of China-US ag trade

Bearish 🔴
•US quarterly corn stocks were much higher than expected with 1‘532m vs 1‘337m bushel expected. Wheat came in 77m higher at 2‘120 bu.

•Argentina might see record wheat harvest in 2025/26 thanks to good rains, Buenos Aires Grain Exchange says. Also the next corn crop will be record large with 58m tons, up from 49m, due to higher area

•China‘s pork prices hit 18-month low due to weak demand and persisting over supply although government efforts to reduce production.

•Russia‘s south is experiencing very dry planting conditions

•Kazakhstan's Grain Union cuts wheat crop by 2.4m tons to 18.6m due to smaller area

•Corn ratings continue to drop, down 1% to 67%. Beans dropped 1% too, now at 63% g/e

•Wheat exports out of the US continue to be strong, sitting at a 5-year high

•Brazil's Conab sees new crop corn crop at 138.28m tons, down slightly from last year's 139.7m

Bearish 🔴
•Russia held talks with wheat traders to boost exports. One proposal is to subsidies rail transport of grain to the ports

•StatCan raised wheat forecast by 1m tons to 36.6 due to better yields

•Brazil's Conab sees new crop soybean production at record 177.67m tons, up from 171.47m

Wheat: Everyone knows that harvest was good around the world. Now, same as in January with corn, focus switches to planting.

Yes, Australia has perfect conditions, but Europe is very dry in Russia, Ukraine, Germany.
Due to low prices area will be smaller around the world. Is the great wheat bear market finally coming to an end?
