One of the rules that should be made clear is that a set piece ( corner, free kick, or penalty ) must be taken once the referee has signaled it, even if the match time has expired.
Would Daniel Siebert have ended the match if Arsenal had been about to take a penalty?
This man should never referee again.
If Arsenal had won today via a penalty shootout, without scoring a goal from open play, having been awarded a penalty in regulation time after PSG scored the only goal from open play, people wouldโve called us anti-football haram-ball cheaters
But when PSG do it, they save footy
Next season;
-Give the armband to Declan Rice
- Sign Kvicha ,Nico Paz, Alvarez , Yildiz,Rodgers & Barcola.
- Sell White, Nelson ,Jesus, รdegaard, Martinelli and Trossard.
-Avoid over-reliance on set-pieces and play attacking football.
-The mission shouldn't be to defend the premier league, but to conquer European football.
They're annoyed that Slot being sacked is bigger than their Champions League Trip. Watch Arteta come out and use it as an excuse why Gabriels Penalty ended up on Pluto
Arsenal's media team is not happy with @LFC announcing Slotโs sacking on the same day as their @ChampionsLeague final.
They believe it is not beneficial for both clubs in terms of media coverage.
BREAKING: Why Liverpool sacked Arne Slot despite the Premier League title David Lynch reveals the key issues:
- Training & fitness: Lower-intensity sessions cut muscle injuries but left the squad unprepared for fixture pile-up. Late collapse (8 defeats post-January) sealed it. The club wanted more intensity.
- Academy & culture disconnect: Rarely engaged with youth setup or club operations. Frequent PSG comparisons, family in Netherlands, and holidays raised eyebrows.
- Soft skills: Poor communication and club understanding. No contract extension showed early doubts. Set-piece weaknesses and style vulnerabilities exposed.
The title bought time, but the hierarchy saw him as short-term. Decisive move made. #LFC

I swear people make half of these Carragher quotes up every time something happens to Liverpool
The news broke late last night, so when has anyone got a camera / mic in front of him for him to say this? ๐๐
Jamie Carragher furious over Liverpoolโs contract situation:
๐ฃ๏ธ โI still canโt believe Liverpool allowed Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave for free, and now the same thing could happen with Ibrahima Konatรฉ.
Thatโs over ยฃ150 million worth of talent walking out the door for nothing.
At elite clubs, that should never happen.
These are key players, not squad fillers.
When you keep losing important players for free, people start questioning how serious the club is behind the scenes.
Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world they cannot keep handling major contracts like this and expect no consequences.โ
Acting as if some of these were bad to lose at the time at the end of their contract is madness
Milner - old man
Karius - probably still be concussed
Lallana / Keita - Injured most of the time
Ox - never the same player after his knee
โข Ibrahima Konate
โข Mo Salah
โข Andy Robertson
โข Trent Alexander-Arnold
โข Roberto Firmino
โข Naby Keita
โข Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
โข James Milner
โข Divock Origi
โข Loris Karius
โข Gini Wijnaldum
โข Adam Lallana
โข Nathaniel Clyne
Have all left since 2020. Total? ยฃ10m.
Some managers and players have some serious bromance.
Glasner won the Europa league with Kamada at Frankfurt. Glasner brought him to Palace again. Theyโre both leaving this summer.
Ancellotti and James Rodriguez is another. This one is even funny.
Don Carlo brought James to Real Madrid, boy was doing so well. Ancellotti was sacked and Benitez came in. James started to struggle, he was pissed at Benitez because everything was about tactics. Carlo was about man management.
Eventually, Benitez was sacked and Zidane brought in. James still struggled.
Guess what, Don Carlo was coach of Bayern now, he signed his boy on loan again๐ . James went to Bayern for one season and did so well again under his favorite manager. The media even called James a spoilt brat, he needed a manager to spoil him haha.
James returned to Madrid after the loan but Zidane still didnโt fancy him.
Now it gets sweeter.
Don Carlo went to Everton, signed James Rodriguez again๐๐. James landed in Liverpool, saw Goodison park, got to his hotel, and said he canโt play for Everton, it was a small club compared to where he was coming from.
They called Carlo to inform him that James is going to the airport, Don Carlo had to convince his boy to just stay.
He did stay and signed for Everton. He did so well till November and got injured. Carlo left for Real Madrid again, and guess who Everton employed????????
Yes, Benitez๐๐๐
James Rodriguezโ worst enemy๐. After recovery, he knew he wouldnโt play under Benitez, he left to Qatar desperately, one of the transfers he regrets till date.
Anyways, another relationship is Marco Silva and Alex Iwobi. Bro signed Iwobi to Everton, went to Fulham and signed Iwobi again. I bet when he gets to Benfica, heโll sign Iwobi again.
Thereโs Mourinho and Matic too. He signed Matic at Chelsea, signed him at Man United, signed him at Roma๐
Should we add Benitez and Salomon Rondon. This one is also funny because Benitez signed him at Newcastle, Benitez went as far as China, Rondon followed him. Benitez returned to England (Everton), and signed Rondon again ๐
Which coach-player relationship can you mention?
๐ฅ | @footyinsider247: Xabi Alonso is a โhuge fanโ of Florian Wirtz and is keen for Chelsea to sign him this summer in a sensational move.
Sources say Liverpool would be open to letting Wirtz go for the right deal even though they would publicly deny that.
I tell you what, Tuchel has just exhibited the highest level of boldness in football.
He dropped Foden and Palmer for who they are, this looks like a difficult and an easy decision at the same time.
He dropped Wharton who has had an amazing season and currently in the Conference league final, a different profile, but maybe similar to Mainoo.
Morgan Gibbs White who has got the highest goal contributions of all English players in the league.
Maguire who's equally doing well and has been a very important part of this squad over the years, but you could argue he has not been regular or had a great season.
James Garner who he has been psyching, attending Everton games, gave him his debut earlier this year and showed belief in him, yet he's dropped him.
On the flip side, he has taken John Stones who hasn't even played regularly and injured all through, but but, every team needs such player for the experience they bring, but why not Maguire? You can argue.
He's also taken Jordan Henderson for same reason as Stones.
Ivan Toney has got over 40 goal-contributions this season, and Tuchel is definitely not overlooking that, even if its in Saudi League, a very brave decision. I would have loved Welbeck as that 3rd striker.
Noni Madueke would be the player on everyone's lips, why him? I'll tell you guys something. There's a spark Madueke brings, nobody else has that. He's that sub that can change any game, like he did in that difficult West Ham game just few weeks ago, you need such players for "Tournament" football.
No doubt about the rest attackers, they were expected.
Djed Spence is another question mark, but he can play both full back positions, a tough guy to beat, same with Tino. Trent is a good argument, but you can also argue he's not done well this season. Jude hasn't also, but Jude is Jude, you cannot overlook Jude in tournament football, a player that crashes the box, you cannot. Its crazy that you can make a case for each of Tuchel's appointment.
This time last year, Lewis-Skelly was tipped to be the number one left back for England, he was having the greatest season ever, then boom, he was 3rd choice this season, and he fell off. Nico O'Reilly on the other hand has been phenomenal this season. We all know who to blame for MLS.
Lastly, my biggest happiness on this list is Kobbie Mainoo, Amorim almost ruined this fella, but all thanks to Carrick. Such a talent that would have gone under the radar.
All in all, Tuchel is brave, dropping those big names, the list is a solid one based on merit, bar Stones and Henderson, who are also needed for other reasons, even if they're not going to play regular.
Your thoughts?
People flew in
Trains, boats and automobiles to get to the city centre
People where queing at Central until last trains, and even then there was more people
Buses rammed full and cancelled
People slept in line street until first trains out the following morning

The Real Reason Pep Guardiola is Leaving Manchester City
The English FA is determined to stop the Premier League from turning into another farmers' league like Ligue 1 (PSG) or the Bundesliga (Bayern Munich).
They know that if one club dominates for too long, global viewership will eventually drop. So they've allegedly stepped in to ensure the Premier League title rotates among the so-called Big Six clubs.
This season, they "gifted" it to Arsenal to break City's grip. Next season, expect either Chelsea or Manchester United to lift the trophy. In the coming years, the title will keep cycling between Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
The era of any team winning the Premier League two or three times in a row is officially over. Unpredictability = higher global TV audiences and drama. Unlike Ligue 1 and Bundesliga, where we already know the champion before the first match of the season kicks off.
Pep saw the writing on the wall. He wanted to build a dynasty that would turn the EPL into a one-team league, but the English FA said NO. That's why he's walking away.
๐ฅ ๐: Arsenal will have to wait for an hour after the final whistle for the Premier League trophy to be presented at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
#CPFC supremo Steve Parish wishes to take advantage the vast TV audience to present himself with a lifetime achievement award on the pitch at full time.
The tribute to the Eagleโs chairman for single-handedly winning three trophies is set to run for 60 minutes.
