What a tragedy. It has been announced that Charlie Kirk has died after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University today. This young man loved his country and invested his time and energy in trying to make it the best it could be. He stood boldly for conservative values and defended free speech for all of us. Most importantly, Charlie loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for his wife Erika, their two young children, and all of their family. It’s in these moments of darkness that we need to stand on the Scripture that Erika shared on social media, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

I am a sucker for older promotional tokens. This week I picked up these crazy “Long John Silvers Pirate Crew” tokens from 1976. They are in great condition. I thought they’d be a nice unique addition to the #saturdaynightcoinshow.

There are so many aspects of coin collecting that keep me collecting. Sometimes it’s the history behind the coin, sometimes it’s the value…but usually it’s the beauty of the design. No matter what, I never get tired of them. Coins are my siren’s song that draws me out.

One of my favorite things about coin collecting is the oddity art pieces people think of doing with the coins. These are beautiful 1976 1 cent pieces encased in little glass bottles. I picked them up at a recent auction. #coins #numismatics

My friend made it home safely from Japan this week and brought me these beautiful coins. They are even more beautiful in person. The 1 Mon coins are great, but the 100 Mon is amazing. #feelingblessed
