@USAOWTC#wtcper it’s kinda surprising to see that Marjane was into social activism and wanted to fix social inequalities in the world at a very young age. feel like she wanted to make the world a better place. This is inspiring to see how a little kid view the world.
@USAOWTC#wtcgender Sex is biological differences while gender is social construct. “Sex dictates certain social meanings for women’s experience” is something I do not agree with. Sex differences should not limit what we can or cannot do.
@USAOWTC#WTCVid I’m a big fan of video games and I love how this research was conducted. It analyzed game violence, socialization, gameplay immersion, etc. It basically touched on negative stereotypes of video games in our society. There’s much more going on in a game.
@USAOWTC#wtckeynes one of Keynes idea about achieving economic bliss is to control population. I think this task is impossible considering the age we live in. However, it’s interesting to see someone thinking about the future since we are too “busy” to care.
@USAOWTC#wtcgrove Murder mystery!!! Most importantly, it shows how different perspective explain a situation that benefit their background. I thought it was interesting that the Buddhist priest doesn’t remember much about the wife but recalls details about the man. Interesting!!
Darwin explained the scientific side of evolution and how it relates to religion. He went deep into how evolution and natural selection and how we humans need to successfully adapt. #wtcdar
The manifesto basically explains a society where there is no class or higher class, and we are all equal. It’s sad but our society will never reach this. We humans tend to group things cuz that’s how our brain works. It’s our natural instinct. #wtccm
Marx explains that working too much tend to make the person lose himself/herself in working. He further explains that it makes the person less connected to the society. This is contradictory to the rigid system of going to college, get a degree, and get a job to survive. #wtcmarx
The narrator questioned how the little maid still count her two dead siblings as alive in “We are Seven”. It’s often hard to let go of our beloveth ones. The little maid won’t let go of her dead two siblings. #WTCRom
I never liked poetry and I still don’t cuz of their word jargons. It makes it hard to understand or comprehend. Wordsworth explain the use of ordinary language and how it can be beneficial to the public. #wtcpref
Shelley explained how religion or believe in God cannot be justified from the three sources of conviction. I agree with his saying that belief is passion of the mind. It’s impossible to believe something (faith?) without passion for it. #wtcpbs
Victor character development changed towards the end of the book when he ignored his creation and everyone else. But I feel like this is how humans react too-we tend to ignore families, friendships, and bonds we’ve made. #wtcfrank2
It’s fascinating how we humans will do anything to accomplish our goals. It could be a bad or good thing depending on the situation. It also show how we are driven by emotions and not reason. This is shown with Victor discovery. #WTCFrank1
Marriage of heaven and hell sounds contradicting to me at first but it make sense cuz all humans have a good and bad side. There is no perfect human beings. Our difference is what makes us unique. #wtcblake
I disagree with the doctrine that says happiness in unattainable and it’s not the rational purpose of human life. I think that happiness is the by-product of contentment. We can be happy with our own achievements and therefore it’s normal to seek happiness. #wtcmill
Smith explained that humans emotional are innate. I think every humans on earth will sympathize with their fellow brethren if they lost someone to death. It’s kinda hard not to get emotional sometimes. I get emotional when I see homeless people on the street. #wtcsmith
Vastey explained how Haitian revolution were the first to abolish slavery. The Haitian revolution later influenced how black people are seen across the globe. It’s inspiring to hear that Haitian revolution showed that skin color has nothing to do with social status. #wtcdaut
It’s absolutely disgusting how slavery can be justified. Locke argued that slavery can be justified at the expense of Africans. “with the freedom and prosperity of Englishmen, and not troubled if they were gained at the expense of Africans”. This quote is not right. #WTCBouie
