If you're in NYC and interested in hacking on an app that would help incarcerated people, there's an awesome hackathon March 7-8.
The goal is to create an open source platform that provides free calls, video, and messaging to incarcerated people so they don't have to choose between exorbitantly priced calls or foregoing connecting with loved ones.
It has been shown that maintaining this connection to the outside world can help incarcerated people stay on the right path because they have something to hope for.
They're looking for engineers, designers, and product folks.
OMG it's enough. Everyone's screaming about the models being so good that everyone will lose their jobs but the models mean nothing if companies do not know how to DEPLOY and use them in ways that drive VALUW across industries. And off the shelf AI products are notoriously POO.

For fun, I vibe-coded a personal app to coordinate my care post-surgery. No auth, hard-coded. AI got the job done but my little tool absolutely would not make it to production 😅 But it did make me more curious about how AI works under the hood.
X is cool.
But it’s 100x better when your timeline is full of people who code and build.
if you’re into tech, AI, startups, product, design, web dev, say hi! 👋
A friend of mine doesn't work in tech, has no background as an engineer or designer.
But heard about vibe coding and set out to investigate.
A few weeks later? He was generating $10M ARR.
A month in? $20M ARR!!
Just him. No employees or VCs.
What was his secret? Simple.
"I don't know what ARR is. But if I say a big number, a lot of people follow me on Twitter."
With that, he had uncovered the secret to success in tech. "Nobody checks."
Follow along for more tips.
