Science fiction promised us a new human-computer interface, beyond the GUIs of yesterday, a human-like interface that would feel second-nature to use. That future never came, until now.

E.g. instead of the insanity that is checkout/reset, it has several distinct commands that do what they say, each for distinct objects. (Why does checkout switch branches *and* revert files?!)
