OC Head Coach Play-calling reminders as you prepare for game 1:
1) Mix the 6 concepts of offensive football
A) Run/RPO B) PlayAction C) Dropback D) Screens E) Pocket Moves F) Gimmicks
2) Repeat what works( don’t be afraid to run same play 5 times in a row)
3) Adjust to your defense ( if they stink that night be more aggressive) (If they are lights out and you stink be conservative)
4) Feed your monster if u have one
5) Spread the ball if numerous players need touches
6) Never forget the best place to take deep shots is backed up inside your own 5…Max protect and use one or 2 receiver route combos) defense has to defend 109 yards!!)
7) Check your ego in at the gate and do what it takes to win
8) Have fun/ It’s football not curing cancer
9) Simple beats complex…You’re a coach, not a rocket scientist
