@Master0fHyrule I feel like they hid and teased the game very deliberately. If Link's bedroom and character model are visually overhauled, the whole game clearly is, and I doubt all the original gameplay would work the same way as a result.
@nin10doland I like to think that just like Mario Kart and Donkey Kong, this game was also in development since before this decade, so it better be damn good.
@nin10doland What would be really funny is if it wasn't even all that good. And even some of the ones people love have one major shortcoming or another. Obviously, I hope that won't the case for the next one, especially after this many years.
@ahenley17 I love how the future post-Bank closure is basically "port every old game to the Switch/Switch 2 and use hardware to connect to the old cartridges", except The Pokémon Company no longer cares about the latter...
@DToeiSalvatore Let's be completely fair: next to no one expected a long Rocks flashback or for Imu to appear this soon. We all thought Elbaf was just an exposition/character development arc for the future, but instead, it was a melting pot of various different storylines.
@zarts_327 Doesn't mean Blackbeard won't usurp him at the tail-end of the series as was strongly implied, but the point is yes, Luffy will fight Imu in the final war.
@zarts_327 Nah, Imu is even on the Harley facing Luffy. They both look VERY close to those drawings. That lefthand section of the mural shows the global alliance fighting the war in the future, so what Morj is saying is just incorrect; Luffy will fight Imu again. Not even being biased. 🤷
@FerrisWheelPro It's more like we recognize the complete futility of fighting for discs to stick around (let's not pretend they won't become completely unpopular within the next decade or two), so the natural next best thing is to fight for digital to act as close to physical as possible.
@geoffkeighley And this is why I didn't take him seriously when he warned us against a third game. It made money and the story was clearly unfinished, ending on a very negative tone, so why would it cease to exist?
@DetectivEsse Funnily enough, I actually liked the Mega Dimension DLC quite a bit. It elevated the game as a whole for me. Yes, the gameplay could be better, especially if you're completing the Dex, but the character writing and humor were uncharacteristically great.
@pory_leeks The moment I saw how detailed that first footage was, I suspected Monolith was helping develop the game. Grezzo and other companies haven't made a Zelda game that looked like that yet.
@ActualAero I genuinely didn't expect them to reveal the game, especially with footage, 21 months early. I do hope they'll stick to same-year announcements going forward.
@atuhru It's so obvious that development just takes longer nowadays and that's why Mario Kart World isn't getting DLC until next year at the earliest. Like...are people genuinely trying to rush the team?
