@Edwards_evoeco When I mentioned that male #sagegrouse often copulate with dried cowpies, I didn't do the situation justice. I will elaborate in a thread. @EffinBirds @ProBirdRights

For most males, cowpie copulation is just an occasional indulgence. For others, it's a lifestyle.

This 'artist's impression' is deceptively misleading. The proposed site isn't on farmland but in the Tomalpin Woodlands, one of the only remaining Regent Honeyeater nesting sites and a significant winter feeding site for Swift Parrots. Both are Critically Endangered. @BirdlifeOz
