@IAFFPresident Emergency Service at Fort Myer is already planning for Furlough type reductions in hours to prevent overtime. If that's happening to them, what happens to us?
Reduced staffing? Cuts to pay if our in tour overtime is cut? Let's work together with the DVP and get ahead of this.
@IAFFPresident Well, Mr. GP, I think the Army Federal Fire is going to need help from us (Joint Council and IAFF). The current threat set to take effect on Aug 1 is the cancelation of all overtime.
It is unclear if this overtime means our 38 hours of in tour OT or if it's just over 144hrs.
@RepAndyBiggsAZ@RepScottPerry Firefighters pull shifts and still do the Union work. We are a unique bunch also. Do you know how many calls I take at home? As do most of my colleagues.
The following bills are aimed at crippling Federal Unions, especially Firefighters.
H.R.1210Protecting Taxpayers’ Wallets Act of 2025.
H.R.2174 - Paycheck Protection Act.
H.R.2249 - Preserving Presidential Management Authority Act.
@HouseGOP @HouseOversight @HouseDemocrats

@UDSHealth@IAFFofficial@nashuafire Thank you, Ray and Sue, for making last night in DC possible. I think it was a huge success and has peaked a lot of interest.
Federal Fire Fighters need a hand keeping a bill that grants early detection for cancer as part of our physicals. The language is in the House version of the NDAA. We need @SASCDems and @SASCGOP to adopt Sec 706. @SenatorJackReed is the chiar. @RIFIREFIGHTERS can you help?
Today I introduced the PFAS Alternatives Act because firefighters’ jobs are dangerous enough without the added risk of exposure to harmful PFAS in their turnout gear. They deserve gear that keeps them safe as they put their lives on the line to protect us. https://t.co/eniDnGWOOf
We closed 2022 with wins for federal fire fighters and momentum in our fight to remove #PFAS from our gear and our communities. More in yesterday’s interview with Tom Temin of @FederalNewsNet…

Firefighters across the country are often exposed to toxic PFAS chemicals in firefighting foams & PPE as they work to keep us safe.
Today, we’re sending the PFAS Act to @POTUS to protect our frontline emergency responders from these toxic chemicals & minimize the spread of PFAS.
Great news in #iafffedfire world. The First Responder Fair Retire Act (HR521/S129) has passed both house and is expected to be signed by the President soon.
Thanks to @RepConnolly and @SenatorTester for being the Champoins on this bill.
@IAFFLeg
#iafffedfire#unionstrong
@GOPLeader That's not entirely true. The @iaffofficial and @FedFireJC and @IAFFLeg had a plan for several items to pass in the NDAA then your @virginiafoxx blocked our cancer coverage. Pretty sure we ever talked to you about this.
@IAFFFederal#iafffedfire
The @IAFFofficial and @IAFFLeg attempted to talk to @virginiafoxx today in an effort to keep our Cancer coverage in the NDAA and she REFUSED.
Shame on you Ms. Foxx. Remember, we are Firefighters, we will continue to fight for what we deserve.
@HouseGOP @GOPLeader
Look, on Saturday @virginiafoxx thanked us for our service, Monday she threw us down by not allowing or Cancer Coverage through. Great job Congresswoman Foxx, you single handedly killed cancer presumptions for federal firefighters.
