Stuck in the hustle, I forgot to announce, that this summer I won the PAUSE Fellowship. Who knows where this 1 year postdoc contract gets me, but at least I’m working on my own small project in collaboration with outstanding triumvirate of Dr.Eparvier, Dr.Le Goff, and Dr. Guillou
@NMRspectroscopy Agree. And just a week ago I thought the event in Geneva was a disaster. And now this. Feels like we’re all falling in a bottomless pit.
Can’t help but share this here. I adore Elvira Mistress of the Dark🕸️while Halloween🎃is my favourite holiday. And I love chemistry⚗️as well. Maybe AI🤖will destroy humanity but as long as it creates perfectly customised memes, there’s a chance to die with a smile on our faces💀
I’ve finally had my debut remote presentation in English at the conference. Hope to visit this event live next time. I was dissatisfied with the quality of my talk, but at least I’ve learned how tremendously sleep deprivation worsens my performance quality and language skills.
#BioNatural2025 brought together brilliant minds from 39 countries at @CBIOS_@ULusofona.
From 🇵🇹 to 🇧🇷, 🇮🇳 to 🇮🇹—thank you for making this conference a hub of innovation, nature & collaboration.
Let’s keep the science flowing!
It was a true global celebration of science!
Special gratitude to @ScieRisk organisation and akno e.V. foundation for supporting me in this transitional period and stimulating the writing this small manuscript.
My first mini-review available as a preprint, summarising current data on structure-activity relationship of 10-membered lactones, highlighting particular structural motifs. Non peer-reviewed though, but I’d love to transform it into more solid work later.

In my former lab I used to pack Diaion into a column to filter the culture broth, then elute the sorbent with ethanol followed by concentration in vacuo. However the sorbent was less accessible then the organic solvents so liquid-liquid/solid-liquid extraction predominated.
This video is highly underrated. It's short and comprehensive even for my feeble French. Using an absorbent resin to retain metabolites, followed by maceration seems like an elegant method.

If you like total synthesis and Wordle, check out Synthordle, a retrosynthetic analysis game created by Shenvi Lab associates Kevin Zong (GS 2) and Jonah Luo (HS sophomore!).

Coming to @scrippsresearch Chemical Synthesis class in Winter ’25.
My first scientific event after 2 years of exhausting immigration.Sneaking in to the campus to satisfy my curiosity wasn’t easy, but was surely worth it.The lecture was completely in French, however I was familiar with the topic and had a chance to ask a few questions at the end.
Very happy to start this New Season of conferences @ICSN_lab@cnrs@UnivParisSaclay with Dr Denis Servent from #SIMoS lab @CEA_Joliot. Very intersting conference on venoms and their applications in health.
🎉@NatProdReports is delighted to announce a special one day symposium held at @Helmholtz_HIPS!
Join us in celebrating our 40th anniversary with talks covering the breadth of natural product research!

I was always astonished by the color scale that anisaldehyde complexes provide during TLC plates staining. Although the relation between particular color and a structure pattern is somewhat of a mystery to me. Still I find this method extremely useful and pleasing to the eye.🧪🌈
Although I sincerely appreciate every moment of collaboration with biologists, next work is going to be about the reactivity of these natural products. That's right, they have their unique chemistry too!
My 2nd work on fungal 10-membered lactones is out. Hate to use phrases like I'm thrilled etc. It was hard to write while my immigration process was in its highest point, and I still have no carrier certainty.

Last year of my PhD period was devastatingly tough. If only I new the next few are going to be even worse (covid19, mother’s death, war, urgent immigration-it goes on and on and on).But at least back then I was in a laboratory and enjoyed doing weird and sometimes creative things
