@Chen1900FU Indeed. Diabetes is also the massive health issue for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. This type of disease is not only occur in elder but also in young generation. Moreover, even people in the present society.
@nakara_la I believe we can also learn a lot about how they accomodate Indigenous people without offence. As Aboriginal health workers have more experience on this field, their experience is a treasure for non-Indigenous workers.
@AnjanaBhusal2 I agree. It actually a big effect for people who experience such a pain history regardless of any nationality. Nowadays, it is still exist a lot of sad story, and what we have to do is looking forward and embrace it.
Patients could distrust an avoid the health services due to unconscious offence especially to prejudicial demeaning attitudes. Therefore, critically, nurses need to be very skilled at the interpretation when interacting with many distrust Indigenous people.

Culture safety is about the nurse rather than the patient. It is important that nurses having the primary responsibility to establish trust and provide legitimate care regardless gender, sexuality, social class, occupational group and generation.

It is unfair to treat differently between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and other Australians, also nurses have responsibility to recognise the immense diversity as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have wide variety of beliefs and value.
