Fifteen years ago today, Jordan’s Principle was unanimously passed in the House of Commons.
The child-first principle, named in loving memory of Jordan River Anderson, was passed to ensure that all First Nations children in Canada have the supports they need in order to thrive.
Despite policies, it can still be difficult to secure support for children with type 1 #diabetes in school. Dr. Hannah Geddie of @mch_childrens says agencies involved in providing student services need to better collaborate. #T1D@DiabetesCanada
