the vast majority of all types of devs, atleast in the USA, are anti-union as well.

american devs have had it great relative to most careers

its rough now because ZIRP ended, less money to go around.

localization probably does, but if you care youre a dick (valve is badguy)
real effort was put in, just not a lot in the UI.---

art:
mostly figma, or created/atleast edited heavily in photoshop lightroom.
seems like free assets from online but hard to tell. either way legal. pic2 is of metadata.

localizations:
i only know american so i cant tell, but id bet they broke the rules here. 10 languages is a lot for any studio, especially a 2 man team on their first game.
it specifically says "Localizations outside of English may not be perfectly translated yet."

if you paid humans, you should either have nothing or have it finished.

but not everyone was born in a country that spoke gods language, and they should be pitied, not excluded. fuck valve.

code/ui:
everything was obfuscated/packed (this is normal, decreases size) so all the typical clanker tracks are gone (emojis, oddly verbose comments, etc), but anyone who uses these a lot can tell that
1) its clanker

2) the person knew what they were doing because clankers dont typically default to setting up cloudflare workers like this.

Deff clanker UI because they always overuse cards, current gen is that dark blueish purple+goldenrod- yellow+really weird green, really odd labels, odd font pairings, etc.

No they dont, not anymore.

its only required for specific situations, where your generating things that are directly consumed by the user.

so using to AI to write code, under the new rules from jan. 2026, is fine.

This game was strangely made in electron, so they can use AI to generate the code to make the UI, and it doesnt break the rules

neat loophole. so you can slopfork any popular indie game with ai, and itll be fine as long as you make a really, really bad version (its hard to make art iwth math) lmao
