There’s a weird contradiction in crypto.

We built blockchains so you don’t have to trust anyone.

Then we built analytics tools that make you trust someone again.

If you want to know something about Bittensor today, like:

- which subnet has the highest emissions
- how concentrated validator stake really is
- which miners are actually outperforming

you usually do one of three things

- write SQL yourself
- trust a dashboard
- ask someone on Discord and hope they’re not chatting rubbish

That breaks the whole point.

So we built QueryAgent.

QueryAgent is a Bittensor subnet for verifiable blockchain analytics.

You ask a question in plain English.

Miners compete to answer it with SQL.
Validators rerun that SQL on the same frozen dataset.
The result is canonicalized and hashed
If the hash matches, the answer is correct

Not “probably right.”
Not “our backend says so.”
Actually verifiable.

Every answer can come with:

- the exact SQL
- the dataset snapshot
- the result hash
- independent validator verification

So instead of getting a black-box answer from some centralized analytics layer, you get an answer you can inspect, rerun, and prove.

That’s the part that matters to us.

A lot of crypto products inherit the language of trustlessness without preserving the property.

QueryAgent tries to keep that property intact all the way up the stack

And I think Bittensor is the right place for it

Most subnets have subjective scoring
This one doesn’t

The query either reproduces the right hash or it doesn’t.
That means honest validators should converge on the same result fast.

> Harder to game
> Better incentives

If we get this right, QueryAgent won’t just be useful for Bittensor

It becomes a new primitive for crypto
questions with proofs, not vibes.

That feels like a better direction than another dashboard with numbers you can’t verify

Statement on Recent Security Incident

In the early afternoon hours of 31 January (APAC), approximately $40M was drained from the Step Finance treasury. This was a result of our executive team’s devices being compromised.

Immediately after detecting the breach, we began working with leading cybersecurity researchers and relevant authorities to contain the incident, secure remaining systems, and investigate the attack. Law enforcement has been notified and we are cooperating fully.

To protect users and partners, we temporarily halted several operational activities while security measures were reinforced. Step Finance was the largest liquidity provider to Remora Markets, and LP activities will resume once systems are fully secured. Remora Markets remains isolated from this incident, and all rTokens remain backed 1:1 with custodial collateral.

Through built-in security protections in Token22 and rapid coordination with partners, Step Finance was able to recover approximately $3.7M in Remora assets and $1M in other positions at the time of writing.

We understand the seriousness of this situation and the impact it has on our community. We ask for your patience as we work with our partners to determine the safest and most responsible path forward. All official updates regarding this incident will be shared exclusively through this account.

At this time, we do not recommend anyone engage with the STEP token until our investigation is complete. A snapshot will be taken from before the exploit, and we are actively working on a solution for STEP token holders. We will share further updates as soon as they are finalized.

We are deeply grateful for the support from members of the Solana ecosystem and from our community. Our focus now is on security, recovery, and rebuilding with stronger safeguards in place.

It’s official, I’m the 2nd Best Graduating Student in the Department of Marine and Offshore Engineering at Rivers State University (RSU), 2024/2025. 🎉

Graduating isn’t just the end of a tough journey, it’s the beginning of a beautiful one.

My journey had its ups and downs, but let me highlight a few “ups”:

- Won 1st Position in the SPE(Society of Petroleum Engineers) Lagos Section 61 CTY (Catch Them Young) Competition in 2020.

- Wrote JAMB once and scored 336.

- Graduated with First Class (Hons.) in Marine and Offshore Engineering, Rivers State University (CGPA: 4.51/5.0).

- Published my first research paper as a Co-author.

- Got inducted into COREN as a Pupil Engineer and into NSE as a Graduate Member.

Outside my academics, I was also building myself. From growing as a designer, to being deeply involved in Web3, working with Blockchain and Crypto communities, onboarding students, organizing events, and contributing to different DeFi projects and ecosystems.

Ive also been committed to building my personal brand, connecting with people, collaborating, and positioning myself for the opportunities the space has to offer.

Balancing Engineering , Design, and Web3 wasn’t easy, but it has shaped me into a more versatile thinker and problem solver.

I’m entirely grateful to God for the journey so far.
