I want to share my personal thoughts about the @MeteoraAG Season 2 airdrop.
First, I'd like to talk a little about myself and my journey with Meteora.
To date, I've opened more than 600 DAMM V2 pools.
I've claimed around $10,000–$15,000 in fees.
I was invited to MetDhabi by Miir, where I had the opportunity to meet Zen and Soju.
I genuinely like all of them, and the purpose of this post is absolutely not to start a smear campaign. I simply want to share my perspective because I believe some of the Season 2 criteria were flawed.
There's another side of me that I haven't really shared on social media. My mindset has always been this: first learn how to make money yourself, then help the people around you do the same.
That's why I taught many of my friends how to use DAMM V2 technology. I never expected anything in return financially.
Those who use DAMM V2 know that the higher your share in a pool, the more fees you earn. In other words, every new person you bring into the system is also someone you're sharing your fee percentage with.
Despite that, I never saw it as a problem. At the end of the day, if I'm earning a little less but Meteora is earning more and the people around me are also starting to make money, I believe that's far more valuable.
This is actually a mindset I learned from @MetturkTR and the Meteora team. Individual profit is certainly important, but the real value lies in growing together.
To me, contributing has never been just about growing my own wallet. It has always been about helping people make money behind the scenes, even without ever being in front of a camera, while also contributing to the growth of a platform I genuinely believe in.
When $ANSEM launched, and later when $TRUMP launched, the focus of my posts was never the tokens themselves. I was always trying to highlight how powerful Meteora's infrastructure was, because it was a platform I genuinely believed in and enjoyed using.
Looking back today, I can't say I did any of this for an airdrop. If that had been my only goal, I wouldn't have spent months teaching dozens of people how to use DAMM V2 while knowingly reducing my own share of the fees.
One of the comments I received the most during this process was:
"I can't believe there are still people providing LP for the airdrop."
No. I'm not doing this for the airdrop. I'm making money from something I genuinely enjoy doing and truly believe in. I think that's the only approach that lasts in the long run.
Another accusation I often saw was:
"ser i have a role ser why no airdrop ser"
The people who know me know that I've never chased titles, status, roles, or special treatment. Those have never been my motivation in anything I've done.
That's why I don't look at this from the perspective of "why didn't I get an airdrop?"
My criticism is entirely about the Season 2 distribution criteria and how those criteria were determined.
i completely agree with this. instead of complaining, being creative and consistently contributing will always have a bigger impact.
at the same time i don't think the focus should be on just one type of contribution. content creators bring attention engagement and new users to the ecosystem. meteora lps have also spent months providing liquidity improving trading conditions and supporting the protocol behind the scenes.
that's why any potential airdrop or grant should look at the ecosystem as a whole instead of focusing on a single metric. content creators deserve to be rewarded for their impact but long term liquidity providers deserve recognition too.
every user providing liquidity behind the buy/sell screen is part of what makes this ecosystem work. there shouldn't be a difference between small and large contributions. we all contribute in different ways and at the end of the day contribution is contribution.
