@plumpesDenken @sundaytimes @lornasiggins @andrewbasquille@JoyceTower You can buy my book on Joyce in Paris at any of the Amazon websites except https://t.co/APJoiMrvzB. That's due to Brexit. I am told the best value is at https://t.co/CvR1mBPNyv
Delighted my book on Joyce in Paris is recommended by Lorna Siggins in the Sunday Times as books to bring with you to Paris for Ulysses 100, alongside those written by Terence Killeen and Dan Mulhall.@Sundaytimes, @lornasiggins, @andrewbasquille , @JoyceTower @JamesJoyceCentre

@wardtours@campbellclaret I think us Irish need to think twice before criticising our neighbours. Look at our own half-empty upper house! And aren't they entitled to rule their country as they feel fit?
Just started into John McCourt's excellent book, 'Consuming Joyce' and fascinated by his history of Joyce's reception (or non) in Ireland. Joyce does not need to be repatriated. McCourt has finally brought him home through his extensive research. @mccourtitaly#bloomsburyBooks
@TurasPress@CroweSerrano@PrizeRofc @MartinDoyleIT @IrishLitTimes@RuthMcKee It's great to see "In the Dark" get its due re(award). It is so well-written, modernist and intriguing, a breath of fresh air in the current literary landscape.
@muttonkidneys@CrawfordArtGall That's fascinating research which raises the question of how valid was JJ's belief that he was descended from Daniel O'Connell. Great if it could be verified, but difficult perhaps. My book on women and JJ is nearing completion.
@hutton_clare @crankular @Women_Ulysses@JoyceFound Thank you. Glad to see it is, appropriately, a big plaque too, for her major contribution to bringing the French literary scene on board the ship Ulysses.
@hutton_clare @crankular @Women_Ulysses@JoyceFound There is a plaque above 12 rue de l'Odeon marking Beach's contribution to Ulysses. Not sure about Monnier's former bookshop across the road. Her role in supporting Joyce is very underestimated.
So very pleased to have an article about "Women and the Making of Ulysses" here, in advance of #Ulysses centenary exhibition, opening January 29 2022
