@PremLeaguePanel Do you not think they severely lack a box presence, since they don't have a proper 9 anymore? On top of it, they lost Fermin as well who provides that extra box crashing.
@Baderin18@NealGardner_ Player fans need to calm down. Even as a Barca fan, I know Vini is the better player but at Barca, the player we need is Raphinha.
@kevax93@rimanshu_10@levite742 Also, people r thinking RM were better when Guler was starting coz of wat?His assists to Mbappe?
They won't have a RW if Guler is @ 10 & if they do have a RW,they won't have a midfield coz Jude will have to do everything himself. The front 3/4 is useless in pressing without Jude.
@kevax93@rimanshu_10@levite742 Well, did I say that RM played good football?
He's been deployed as an 8 in some games when he should be the most advanced midfielder. Yes he can be a good 8 but that's just wasting talent. Like I said earlier, Jude has been pulling double duty whenever Fede is at RB.
@NealGardner_ None of these raise their ceiling, in fact, it barely raises the floor. Last season they were ruthless in the market, getting expensive deals done for ceiling raisers like Hujsen, TAA, Carreras etc by mid June.
@FCBadham11@rimanshu_10@levite742 Oh yea, for sure it's an RM problem. His ideal position is the advanced midfield role but when Valverde plays at RB, he has to do double duty of tracking back and still do CAM duties. I'm glad every coach since Ancelloti has used him wrong.
@rimanshu_10@levite742 duels, he will obviously find it harder to control balls like that. (doesn't mean he's not had bad touches, everyone has). Also, none of this a flaw, except for bad touch and control, which isn't the case. He just isn't the elite passer or has elite vision like Xavi did.
@rimanshu_10@levite742 Again, things like tempo, making the right decision are taken out of context. His back to goal play plus final third IQ is very good, that negates the lack of vision coz he's trying to do everything from everywhere. Also, his touch isn't bad, it's just that he wins so many low%
@BiggWiz26@rimanshu_10@levite742 Yea, he would have been a ridiculously good signing. Mostly coz Madrid wouldn't have him. I have a feeling he's going to be a serious pain for us for the next decade or more.
@FchZlk@rimanshu_10@levite742 You think I'm a Madrid fan? Lol no.
Also Madrid fans do rate Yamal and Messi, the fans just celebrate loudly when they have an off game. You can see that from the way they berate Yamal or Messi.
Whereas with Jude, I can see lots of Barca using false logic to say he's bad.
@FCBadham11@rimanshu_10@levite742 That's more to do with RM than him being bad. He is usually their best player on the pitch when they have had a bad game.
I mean, even against Barcelona over the last 3 seasons, I can only think of 1 bad game out of 9 or 10 he's played.
@rimanshu_10@levite742 I disagree. Watched him so many times and I still can't find anything he's truly bad at or lack. If anything, his biggest problem is that he's too eager to do everything that sometimes he forgets what's best for the team(not that he's selfish, he's just too eager to score)
@RoaringBlues@rajsinghchohan@abz7ii I too have the same definition for GOAT but the whole world considers GOAT to be the best ever, so it is the Messi/Maradona/Pele. It'll never be someone like CR7 or Gerd Muller.
Still one of the greatest goalscorers ever, but not in the GOAT discussion.
@rimanshu_10@levite742 Idk why Barca fans don't rate him, he's world class and has been the best or top 3 midfielder in the world for almost 3+ seasons now. His attitude has become worse but his game is almost flawless.
@imran_khan86@theatomicflea@AquamanFCB@NealGardner_ The transfer market value does not reflect reality though. Yes, depending on the conditions you would get more, but my point was that Barcelona would get substantially less than a PL club would, when selling a special talent like Pedri.
@NealGardner_ I mean, he missed lot of chances but gotta say he's still got that goal scoring instinct though. Box crashing, positioning and runs are top notch for a guy who's 41.
@theatomicflea@AquamanFCB@NealGardner_ It does not matter how good Pedri is, it only matters who's selling him. If Barca sells him, maybe we get 100M+ but if a PL club is selling him, they'd demand 140M+
