Many of us were ready to vote Republican in the midterms because we believed that party understood this regime better than the Democrats. Now Republican leaders, including @JDVance need to hear clearly that selling this memorandum as acceptable will cost them trust and enthusiasm in our community, even if we still prefer them over the alternative. @marklevinshow

President Trump keeps proudly talking about “eight women” he says he just saved from execution. A couple months ago he said he spoke to the Islamic Republic, asked them not to hang 800 people on death row, and that out of respect for him they agreed. He is being sincere. The story is not.
While he repeats that line, the same regime has already executed close to 1000 people since that time. They just killed Sasan Azadvar, a 21‑year‑old karate champion from Isfahan, arrested in the January uprising and hanged after torture and a fake trial. They tortured and killed Hesam Ghalaleddin, a mall owner whose “crime” was having Starlink and trying to give people uncensored internet.
Their blood is proof that the Islamic Republic is still killing right despite what @potus is being told. @marklevinshow @SecRubio

Today I saw something that touched my heart.

9/11 reduced to “some people did something.” U.S. troops accused of killing “thousands” in Mogadishu, a humanitarian mission. America equated with Hamas and the Taliban.
A Minnesota campaign finance violation on the books. A 2024 disclosure jump from thousands to as much as $30 million, now under DOJ scrutiny.

Bask in the delusion of being decent all you want. The paper trail says otherwise.

This morning they executed Erfan Kiani. A young man from Isfahan. His family wasn’t even allowed to share a photo of him before they killed him.
Meanwhile our president is thanking the IRGC for “respecting his request” on 8 women. Women the regime says were never going to be executed.
Every day, more names. Every day, more rope.
You don’t thank the executioners. You don’t call them more reasonable. You don’t negotiate with them. You don’t repackage them, rebrand them, and call it regime change.
You stop them.

Emily isn’t saying Iranians ‘want their own country bombed.’ She is relaying what many of us hear every day from people inside Iran: they are terrified of the bombs but even more terrified that the world will walk away and leave them alone with this regime. Iranians have tried every nonviolent option, protests, strikes, boycotts, organizing, and they have been met with prisons, torture, bullets and executions. So when some of them say they support outside military pressure, they are not cheerleading war, they are describing the last resort of a population that has been abandoned for decades. In an attempt to “discredit” me, she derogatorily calls me, a woman who lived in Iran until just six and a half years ago, “Fresh off the Boat.” But all that really proves is that my understanding of Iran is far closer to the reality on the ground than that of second or third-generation Iranian Americans who have only watched it from afar.
