A huge progress year for Emma. Still missing pieces with no final or title. But played a lot more tennis and found her consistency. Hoping for a big 2026!
Arthur Fery ๐ฌ๐ง takes out another Aussie in Hijikata ๐ฆ๐บ to move into the Birmingham ๐ฌ๐ง 125 semi finals 7-6,6-3. Clutch returning in key moments has been a spearhead of his game so far this week and again he finds it. Rinky served the first set at 5-3 and was a break up in the second at 2-1 before consecutive fight backs from the Brit. He looks mighty impressive this week, career high incoming!
Locked in for the #HSBCChampionships ๐
Katie Boulter, Francesca Jones, Harriet Dart and Mika Stojsavljevic are set for the Queenโs Club next week!

As Boisson ๐ซ๐ท was last year the Wimbledon wildcard dilemma creeps up again with the Chwalinska ๐ต๐ฑ run. Now, for me, itโs tricky. An outstanding run for the Polish women and she deserves a chance to not have to go through the challenges of qualifying after her efforts over the last three weeks. She made the second round of SW19 in 22 after coming through Qs but I think sheโll have to do the same. If she wins it tomorrow then absolutely, however a finalists wont win over the board. As much as I think it probably should to warrant a WC.
The run continues! An absolute joy to watch on court. The craft is on a new level. Will be huge underdog going into the final. Qualifier to slam champ, itโs been done before! Just once thoughโฆ.
British update:
Birmingham ๐ฌ๐ง 125
Katie Swan ๐ฌ๐ง fell to Preston ๐ฆ๐บ 6-4,6-2. The first set was constant trade of breaks before a crucial hold from the Aussie where she saved a break point. From there, it was one way traffic. She still will play doubles with Preston!
Billy Harris ๐ฌ๐ง couldnโt take his win on Monday into his match vs Bu ๐จ๐ณ as he was beaten 6-2,6-4.
Arthur Fery ๐ฌ๐ง picked up a great scalp in Bolt ๐ฆ๐บ to move into the QF 6-4,6-7,6-3. This is a very good win with Alex being known for his grass game. Arthurโs returning is always superb!
Texas ๐บ๐ธ 75
Henry Searle ๐ฌ๐ง moves into the QF in Texas as he eases past Matsuoka ๐ฏ๐ต 6-,6-2. First challenger QF of the season for Henry.
Centurion 2 ๐ฟ๐ฆ 50
Giles Hussey ๐ฌ๐ง makes it 7 wins in a row as he continues his form in South Africa. Take out 4th seed Bertrand ๐ซ๐ท 5-7,6-3,6-3.
Couple great resultsโฆ.
Burrage ๐ฌ๐ง & Stojsavljevic ๐ฌ๐ง
Swan ๐ฌ๐ง & Preston ๐ฆ๐บ
Webley-Smith ๐ฌ๐ง & Naef ๐จ๐ญ
All through to the Birmingham Challenger doubles QFs
Two results from Birmingham ๐ฌ๐ง 125 on the womenโs side.
Mika Stojsavljevic ๐ฌ๐ง continues her excellent home journey as she makes the quarter finals with a 6-4,6-7,6-2 win over Kalieva ๐บ๐ธ! Wasnโt broken and was dominant in that third set. Her rybakina style of tennis is so suited to the grass she could be a handful this season if she continues her form!
A great effort from Alicia Dudeney ๐ฌ๐ง as she falls in a match spanning over 3 days vs Preston ๐ฆ๐บ. She was handed a wildcard due to her sparkling form as fell 6-4,6-7,6-3. First real taste of challenger tennis!
Two challenger loses from different countryโs.
Felix Gill ๐ฌ๐ง finds Majchrzak ๐ต๐ฑ too much in Birmingham ๐ฌ๐ง 125 as he is beaten 6-3,6-3. Couldnโt produce enough on his first delivery to slip through his service games and when his chances came at the beginning of the second he couldnโt take them. Nice for Felix to get a first grade challenger win on his career though.
Jan Choinski ๐ฌ๐ง falls to the same score in the Neckarcup ๐ฉ๐ช 100 as he is beaten by Mikrut ๐ญ๐ท 6-3,6-3.
