Whatever happened between the adults, why expose a 12-year-old child’s DNA results to the whole world? She is innocent. She didn’t ask for this, and she shouldn’t have to grow up with strangers discussing, trolling, judging, or questioning her identity online.

A child’s emotional and psychological well-being should matter more than views, sympathy, or social-media attention. The internet never truly forgets. What is posted today can follow that innocent child for the rest of her life.

This is the kind of responsibility adults ... especially men ... need to understand: not every pain needs an audience, and not every private problem belongs on social media. Deal with adult matters privately and protect the child who has no voice in the situation.

Desperation for attention should never come at the expense of an innocent child.
