That entire brake supplier discussion shows exactly why Ferrari signed Lewis Hamilton apart from marketing benefits. He does make a difference when the team listens to him.
I can understand why the Lecfosi are so frustrated with Ferrari’s call yesterday.
Their driver has been in the sport for nearly a decade now, nearly exclusively at the front of the field, and yet beating teammates is the only legacy he has to show for it. While they’re watching drivers of his generation battling for and winning world championship titles, their favorite settles for the category of “would be champion”. He doesn’t move his team forward, he doesn’t take a gamble to maybe achieve that dream but because he is beating his teammates he’s surely doing all he can and its just the team’s fault for not giving him the car, right?
And now here comes a guy who everyone had been counting out. A guy that is actually determined to turn a team of serial losers into winners. And the team thats been assembled around him push with that same mentality. The shift in his side of the garage has been undeniable and now the changes are being implemented and suddenly this 41 year old is starting match and beat Leclerc on his own home turf.
The call yesterday reflected just that. Instead of giving in to Leclerc’s desperate need to best his teammate, they made the simple and correct call to put themselves in the best possible position to challenge Mercedes. As Lewis himself said: “I was thinking about winning”.
Its exactly the mentality that his fanbase have been crying out for for years, but they of course never expected Charles to be on the receiving end of it.
Obviously that will hurt because the looming question is if Charles actually does get beaten by Lewis, then what legacy does he have left? And I would be getting upset at that prospect too.
lewis hamilton changing his break supplier is the diff between single and triple digit race winners.
this is why ferrari brought 7 time wdc driver 🤷🏻♂️
I’m struggling to understand why some Leclerc fans are so fervently angry at Ferrari for putting him under the safety car? It’s was objectively the common sense call. Yes he would have gained track position over Lewis but what does the team get from that bar favouring one driver?
Don’t hurt yourself struggling to understand that Lewis made a mistake and served his penalty. And Ferrari decided that Charles needed to serve it too. I know it’s hard.

Can someone explain to me exacly what Ferrari was supposed to do. They made new brakes available and Leclerc chose not to use them😭😭. Like what else can they do??
Listening to Jenson, I get the impression he thinks Charles was wrong to have renewed his contract so soon.
And like he said, yea it’s nice Ferrari gave him the opportunity to be where he is, but at some point he needs to get selfish & think about himself & what he wants.
Unpopular opinion: Max Verstappen vs Lando Norris was most overrated rivalry.
Noris almost bottled a easy Championship in a rocketship and won championship in last race by just 2 points. Drivers like Norris shouldn't be compared with Max.
