Just had another educational video falsely removed by @youtube. For clarity: The education was not showing people how to RAT people, it was warning of a scam that does not use malware.
If I receive a 3rd strike, I am fully prepared to go to court over this.
Startup 1 wanted me to come build their engineering team. Their COO (ex IBM) did not believe in remote work. I did some back of the napkin math and added $30K to my base comp for the commute. They…accepted. That made me immediately realize that you cannot pay me $30K more to get me to commute to work.
Startup 2 was 2.5 miles away. I could have run or biked to work everyday. I thought this was an acceptable commute 😄 Then March 2020 happened and I was offered a bucketload more by a different company to be FULLY REMOTE.
I care more about time than money. Commuting steals time from me.

I've been using @AshFramework to port an existing app and it's been an interesting ride. The mental model is a big change from using Ecto-only. Having to essentially learn a new language to describe the app's functionality has been tough, but once you get your head wrapped around it, it's pretty cool what you can accomplish.
@ZachSDaniel1 and the Ash team have been phenomenal with their help in the community Discord.
If you haven't tried Ash yet, you should check it out for your next app. I don't suggest porting an existing app as your first go though. 😆
We still had some audio issues going on, but this was one of my favorite points during the development of GTA3 for the Sega #Dreamcast... This was the first time when graphically we were able to say that we were not simply a downgrade of the PC and PS2 versions, and you could clearly see the dynamic lighting and specular environment mapping in full glory on the DC, thanks to the absolute SH4 wizardry of @poiitidis, which we will be getting into shortly!
Hi friends! 😊 I hope the upcoming year will be amazing for you all. 🎉 The beta 4 of version 0.0.2 of the Mishka Chelekom library is out now! 🚀 We’ve made significant structural changes, and I’d love it if you could help us test and review it. 🙌✨

Do this:
1. Open AWS and create an account.
2. Go to the EC2 section, spin up an instance, generate the passkey, SSH into it from your local system. Just play around things.
3. Decided to launch something? Enter the security group like which port should be open usually, http, https and ssh.
4. Now you will get an IP address, go to that and you will see your application.
5. You started to scale it.
6. Create another EC2 instance and use the AWS application loadbalancers to manage these.
7. You are too lazy to add more instances, try AWS auto scaling group, define your min, max number of servers and when it hits a threshold it will create servers for you. For doing this you have to create an image to spin up new EC2 with our application.
8. You are getting 1 million+ requests and adding it to your database every second will use all the bandwidth.
Use AWS kafka to have high throughput.
Your db has high storage but low throughput, kafka/rabbitmq solves this.
9. You need to store non text datas, like media, use S3, create a nodejs script to connect to S3 and make a file uploader.
10. You are too lazy to manage servers, use a serverless function like AWS lambda, but it will have some restrictions as it's not you who manages it.
11. You are a human you don't need to know a to z of AWS. I just know this much and for me this gets the job done.
When you get into some use case, then start looking if that service you want exists in AWS.
Now you are a pro and you don't want to Couple with AWS.
Start to self host your application, buy a vpc do everything from scratch or use coolify to do it for you.
I hope this helps.
For the New Year, we are doing a wild stream where chat shuffles Mega Man 1-6 with money. This won't be chaotic or anything I promise

omfg I can't wait to throw out all my alexa/google devices in 2025 and replace them with couple of these bad boys (local voice, no cloud, custom llm, custom commands, custom text to speech, etc.)
