👉Tether just announced it’s launching gold-backed loans through its tokenized gold product (XAUT).

👉The company holds approximately 140 metric tons of fully allocated physical gold—worth around $23 billion—stored in Swiss vaults.

👉Instead of selling their gold, holders will soon be able to borrow against it, using physical gold as collateral.

👉This is another sign that physical gold is increasingly being treated as a productive financial asset—not just a store of value.
