@TaeKook74155334 Wattpad isn't a supported site unfortunately; it hasn't been supported since v1.0.101 last year.
Support for Wattpad was removed to avoid legal issues.
FicLab was the subject of an erroneous DMCA takedown request earlier today, which alleges that FicLab circumvents paywalls (it does not). If you're wondering why it's missing from the Chrome store, that's why.
I've filed a counter-notice, so should hopefully be back online soon.
Six months later, I'm still chasing them. In addition to the followup tickets, I've now filed another counter-notice in the hopes that might prompt some useful action from them.
The party who made the complaint has been great to deal with. Google has been worse than useless 😡
@trabucooo1 Yes. They're supposed to reinstate the listing on receipt of a counter-notice after the complainant has had some time to respond. It should have been back on the store in November last year. I will keep badgering them until they eventually action my counter-notice properly.
@trabucooo1 Yes. It should have been back on the webstore within a couple of weeks, but many months later and Google is still mucking around not actually doing what they're supposed to.
I'll keep chasing them until they finally action it and reinstate the listing, but sooo frustrating!
@xraiderv17 Thanks - will see if I can figure out what's going on with that one and fix the problem. The most likely cause is a bug on my end causing the renderer to get stuck.
I'll let you know once it's fixed.
@xraiderv17 In that case, I'll need to try and replicate the issue at my end, as you're the only user to report such a problem.
Please provide the URL of the story you were experiencing that problem with, and a screenshot of the settings. Also, which browser & FicLab version are you using?
@PurpleBorahae7 In that case, it's definitely the bug I know about - watch this space. I'm already working on a fix for it, and am hoping to have that released later this week 🙂.
@PurpleBorahae7 Regarding the "install ID" message: clicking the FicLab logo on the top-left of the main popup triggers this.
That feature exists in case I need to ask you for your install ID to match things up with the server logs for troubleshooting. Occasionally useful, normally not needed.
@PurpleBorahae7 If you're seeing that error message on Inspired, there's a known bug that causes some of their stories to error that way. If you're seeing it on any other site, please send me some example story URLs (via https://t.co/QEpdAInouU ) so that I can investigate.
@AndyLi25@Google I don't have an ETA unfortunately - how long this takes ultimately depends on how long Google takes. My best guess is that, given the time of year and the large turnaround time on Google's responses, it's likely that we will be pushing into January by the time the listing's back.
@AndyLi25@Google It will be back once Google sorts their end out - it's taking them way too long, but we will get there. I've communicated with the complainant directly, and they concur that the webstore listing may be reinstated.
In the meantime, the Firefox version remains available as normal.
