@LITMAJOR_music @counterzine She did it for her queer fans who kind of rallied around the song over the years and not as a "woke" correction to an older song due to any sort of backlash, hence donating to the Trevor Project.

@counterzine On the one hand yeah, but on the other hand the story she told was about how her queer fans really gravitated to the song so she redid it for them and is donating the money. Is that really such a bad reason to do this, whether you like it or not?
