I was let in, then arrested for being let in.

Heard this analogy and it hit home.

Your neighbor is doing something that gets under your skin. You’re a part owner of the place. You call the police. Nothing happens. “Move along, nothing to see here.”

So you walk over, peaceful, to confront him face to face.

He gets aggressive. Then he invites you in. “The thing you’re upset about is upstairs. Come on in. You’ll see everything’s cool.”

You walk upstairs.

He calls the police and says you’re breaking in, robbing, and trespassing.

That is January 6th.

Doors open. Crowd invited forward. Then the dads who walked in got the raid, the felony threats, and prison for a Class B misdemeanor.

They set the scene. Then they called it an insurrection.

The worst part? Over $2 billion went straight to funding a massive, state-level Medicaid alternative because federal funds won't cover it.

Even their own state audit caught the disaster red-handed, exposing a program out of control:

Massive Cost Overruns: The healthcare scheme alone bled over $1.6 billion, completely crushing original budget estimates.

Zero Accountability: The audit found over 6,000 enrolled individuals who actually had Social Security numbers or green cards. Taxpayers were stuck footing the bill for people who shouldn't even have been on the state-only plan.

Pritzker and Illinois Democrats talk a big game about balancing budgets, but they’ve turned the state into an unsustainable welfare magnet while actual working families pay the price.
