@KerriMPR PT here working in a vent/trach long term care and it’s been so exhausting. No visitors so we become our patients sole support system. We had so many residents die when we had wave after wave of COVID and we still haven’t been able to process it.

Listening to @sen_inge on @CathyWurzer Morning Edition was very frustrating. Stating that the community needs to control their crime rates and just “stop being afraid of the police”, is akin to telling a sexual assault victim “not all men” and insinuate that it’s also their fault

The statements are caustic, unhelpful and at the very best overly simplistic, at worst an intentional logical fallacy to divert attention. I agree, a majority of people do not want every single police department investigated- that would be tedious and ultimately not a great use

@KerriMPR Which is also frustrating because I’m undergrad I worked 3 jobs as a single parent at full time hours while being a full time student. When my mom went to college in the 80s she worked full time in the summers only and was able to fully pay for tuition

@KerriMPR I owe 200k for a doctorate degree that doesn’t pay EVEN CLOSE to what was advertised for salary for this profession, and I did my research and cost analysis in depth before pursuing. And that’s in the face of decreasing wages due to Medicare reimbursement cuts
