I've been off of X for a long time, but I came on today to draw attention to the passing of an incredible servant of Jesus Christ...Dr. John Perkins. He had a tremendous impact on my life and on the lives of so many others. And now he stands in glory. https://t.co/MiiPFzjgvT
The work inaugurated by Jesus aims at nothing less than a supernatural renewal of the world, whereby all evil will be overcome, a renewal of the physical as well of the spiritual world. Because in reality it would now appear that the two lay far apart in point of time, it was all the more necessary that some solid anticipations of the eschatological change should be given. Here, as on other points, our Lord’s teaching warns us against that excessive spiritualizing tendency, to which the external world becomes altogether worthless and indifferent or even withdrawn from the direct control of God.

Mission is “the mother of theology.” In mutuality and comradeship, theology and mission say together, “The mission of God is our concern; the global mission of the church is our life.”

Are our efforts to help the poor helpful or harmful? @Fikkert will join Rob West to explore how short-term missions can genuinely reflect the heart of Christ and bring lasting change.

Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight" ~ John 18:36a
The Kingdom of God does impact this world, but the methods employed for advancement are vastly different from the ways of the world
Don't fall for cheap counterfeit methodology!
At an RTS NYC Convocation, the late Tim Keller—a dear friend and member of the RTS community — challenges the popular saying, "Preach the gospel, use words when necessary." While actions matter, the gospel is meant to be lived and proclaimed. As Romans 10:14 asks, "How can they hear without someone preaching to them?" Keller emphasizes that sharing the gospel requires both a life that reflects its truth and the intentional proclamation of its message. #RTS #reformed #seminary #reformedseminary #mindfortruth #heartforGod
I'm thankful for Carl Trueman's insights here. Very few evangelicals are aware of how weak virtue ethics are in the evangelical world.

Have you embraced God as an idea explained in a confession or creed? Or have you experienced the living God to whom orthodox confessions and creeds point but cannot explain? This is a question I ask myself.
Thank you @VivekGRamaswamy. Yes!
This is one of the few major issues that is completely bipartisan. Red states and blue states are getting phones out of schools.
Let's do this, together.
