Last Wednesday was my #graduation#ceremony at the prestigious @LSEManagement where I bagged a master's degree in Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation with DISTINCTION; finishing with such an impeccable excellent record (6 distinctions out of 8 courses)...

The moment you assume, you hand your power to someone else.
I had a subscription. Yearly. Fixed. Or so I thought.
Life shifted and I couldn't use it for a while.
So I did what most people do, I just accepted it.
I complained, and then I made peace with the loss.

They’ll prioritize clean, governed data and redesign decision-making, not just automate tasks.
Most importantly, they’ll align AI directly to incentives, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
The real risk isn’t moving too fast, it’s pretending progress equals value.

“The winners won’t have the biggest models, they’ll have the most discipline.”
Only a small fraction of AI initiatives ever deliver meaningful business impact.
The survivors will aggressively kill failing pilots early and reinvest in the few that prove value.

I got into a meeting with one of my partners yesterday.
And as we were asking each other how our weekend went, the virtual room was filled with energy, laughter and some sunlight, thankful to the UK weather 😂
And then my Partner said something along the lines of, ‘I couldn't keep up with your energy, but I really needed some this morning.’
And I said to him: ‘Everybody says that to me, maybe I need to calm down’ 😂😂
He then said: ‘I don't think you should, it is always lovely to draw from some spark of energy’.
Last month, a Director said to me, ‘you do not just inspire the team with how you carry yourself, you inspire me too.’
All of those sounds simple, not a big deal, Ore has a big energy, nothing major.
But I pre-decide and pre-intend to bring energy into the rooms every day.
I do not have to, especially on so many days when even I myself am tired, lack motivation and want to crawl under my duvet and rot.
Pre-decision and pre-intention help me lift myself to the standard of grace and joy that help me win daily. It also helps me lift others around me as a broader leader.
Before you go into rooms today, ask: how do I want to be experienced?
Then show up with that energy.
Go and be fantastic today.
Your environment shapes your courage more than you think.
Surround yourself with people who don’t keep score of things you attempted that didn’t work out. Who encourage big swings. Who pair criticism with solutions. Who believe trying is never embarrassing.
That kind of community quietly enlarges what you’re willing to attempt. And most success stories start with someone who just decided to take the shot.

Closing Thought
Christianity does not begin with trying harder.
It begins with knowing what Christ has already done, renewing the mind with that truth, and allowing the inward reality to shape the outward life.
The New Man in Christ Jesus, Part 3
Preacher: Pastor Poju Oyemade
Church: Covenant Nation
Series: The New Man in Christ – His Work, Worship & Warfare
Date: 26th April, 2026
The teaching continued the series on The New Man in Christ Jesus, with emphasis on the distinction between the spirit, soul, and body, and how transformation happens in the life of a believer.
It is established that man is made up of spirit, soul, and body.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
The scripture shows the clear distinction between the spirit, soul, and body.
Hebrews 4:12
The Word of God is able to divide between soul and spirit.
The Spirit, Soul, and Body
When a person gets born again, it is the spirit of man that is recreated.
The spirit is the real man.
It is born of incorruptible seed, created in righteousness and true holiness.
However, the soul does not get born again immediately.
The soul is the seat of:
• Thoughts
• Emotions
• Decisions
• Reactions
• Behavioural patterns
This explains why a person can be genuinely born again and still struggle with anger, unforgiveness, wrong reactions, or old behavioural patterns.
The Condition of a Man’s Life Reflects His Soul
The condition of a person’s life is largely a reflection of the condition of the soul.
3 John 1:2
“I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
If the soul prospers, the outward life begins to prosper.
This means the great error is trying to change outward circumstances without changing the condition of the soul.
Transformation Begins with the Mind
Romans 12:2
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
True transformation does not begin from the outside.
It begins with the renewal of the mind.
The food of the soul is knowledge.
To change the condition of the soul, a believer must receive the right knowledge and process it properly.
Position vs Condition
A major distinction was made between the believer’s position in Christ and the believer’s condition in life.
• Position refers to what Christ has already done for us
• Condition refers to what is currently being expressed in our lives
Positionally, we are seated with Christ.
Conditionally, our lives may still need to reflect that reality.
The work of the Holy Spirit is to bring the soul into alignment with the believer’s position in Christ.
Why Knowledge Is Important
Paul’s prayers were often prayers for knowledge and understanding.
Ephesians 1:17–18
He prayed that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened.
This means many problems in a believer’s life are first knowledge problems.
When a person knows what has already been given in Christ, they can begin to walk in the reality of it.
Spiritual Warfare Takes Place in the Soul
Though the believer’s spirit is seated with Christ, the battleground is often in the soul.
2 Corinthians 10:4–5
Spiritual warfare involves pulling down strongholds, casting down imaginations, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Warfare is not always visible.
It often happens in the thoughts, imaginations, fears, and internal conversations of a person.
Reckoning What Christ Has Done
Romans 6:11
“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
To reckon means to count as true what God has already done.
The believer does not become a new creation by behaving differently.
Rather, because he is already a new creation, his behaviour must now come into alignment with that truth.
Practical Application
Change begins when a believer starts declaring and acknowledging what is already true in Christ.
For example:
• The love of God has been shed abroad in my heart
• I walk in the love of Christ
• I forgive as Christ forgave me
• I am dead to sin and alive unto God
• My mind is renewed by the Word of God
As the soul is renewed, the outward life begins to change.
In most conversations about money here, Nigerians seem to worry more about investing than about income. Are they making more money than we know, or is it just the fear of losing the little they have to inflation?
The other angle is that those who make money from managing those investments skew the conversations. I would like to see more people talk about how to increase income through building and doing.
The builders are too few, and the copycats are too many. There is also too much mediocrity being celebrated in an attempt to create revenue. We should talk more about excellence and how to learn excellence.
I was listening to an interview on @AlexHormozi's podcast and learned much more about building digital pipelines in one hour than I had known in the 30+ years I've been using the internet.
Among Nigerians here, there is also skepticism and the belief that most people who make a lot of money are criminals, or that crime and corruption are the easiest ways to become wealthy. This is very untrue, and there are people doing great things quietly.
Inspiration is great, but it would be best if more people thought from first principles. That Hormozi podcast made me realize that not many in Africa do first principles thinking when it comes to growing products. Many attempts are random until something works. Everyone then copies that model.
I believe there is an abundance of opportunity in the Nigerian or African market, and I regularly talk to founders quietly building great products. Maybe I should start encouraging them to speak publicly and open up our conversations the way @AlexHormozi did in that interview.
As I was listening, I was thinking, this is like one of my @calendly bookings made public. Maybe that should be the next thing that I do. Anyone willing to speak publicly while I help solve a problem should reach out to me. We can even do one episode as soon as tomorrow.
