We brought a number of quality of life improvements to #AXIOM with the release of AXIOM 3.5. In this Q&A, one of our UX Designers, @FilipJad talks a bit about those improvements as well as our approach to usability within AXIOM: https://t.co/mVVhq76ikM
Guidelines/best practices in UX design are a guidepost, not a replacement for user research. Alone, they can't guarantee users will be successful with your product.
Companies need to stop making job postings titled "UX Designer" when they really want a graphic designer to make pretty UI mockups and never talk to users.
It's not "UX" without involving the user - it's literally right in the name.
An old lady, who I assumed would struggle performing the tasks we needed to go through. I dumbed the tasks down for her in advance in my mind.
She was more tech savvy than anyone else I tested with.
Taught me to NEVER let assumptions about users shape my actions. #uxchat#ux
@ReenaMerchant@markusgrupp That's awesome to hear! Seems to be a common thread at BLND - I swear half of the attendees were Markus's former coworkers 😂
Be aware of your own design process, and recognize where you've faced difficulty in the past and how you've gotten through it - insights from @scottymacg at #BLND2019
@ReenaMerchant Definitely! It was great hearing your experience working with enterprise level teams and products, and lots of great reminders on how to match business and user needs 😃 congrats on a great talk!
Don't conduct research in a #UX silo, do it in a cross-functional team (sales, marketing, devs...) Thanks @ReenaMerchant for the great reminder 😃 #BLND2019
