Italian Composer Nicola Piovani (Academy Award winner for Life Is Beautiful) first collaborated with the Taviani brothers in 1982 on The Night of San Lorenzo. Their faithful relationship included a number of films, including Kaos and Leonora addio, both screened in our program.

In 1984, the Taviani brothers, Paolo and Vittorio, directed the luminous Kaos, based on short stories by Luigi Pirandello. In 2022, after the loss of his brother Vittorio, Paolo Taviani returns to the works of Luigi Pirandello with Leonora addio. Both screened in our program.
