Thanks @insighteditions for sending over The Art and Making of Frankenstein!
Even just flipping through it, you can see how closely it reflects Guillermo del Toro’s vision. I’m routing for this one at the #Oscars in March.
And with BARRY LYNDON now available in #4K, I’m pleased to reveal that Stanley Kubrick’s LOLITA (1962) & EYES WIDE SHUT (1999) have also been licensed to @Criterion, which means that Kubrick’s complete filmography should finally be available on the format soon(ish)! @thedigitalbits
2/2...Jason and I had been in touch for awhile before we were finally able to sync up. I think he understood my love for him and the game was very genuine and so agreed to do it. I'm hoping to track down the other actors and even some of the creators and do some more in the future!
@MeleeGames@ScottApogee@MattMorseTV@FracturedFilter 1/2Great coverage and thrilled to make fellow fans so happy. I got inspired to do a full documentary on the making and legacy of the game but the process became a bit overwhelming for me so i decided to pursue it one person at a time.
A fantastic night at the @BedfordPlayHse seeing the new 4K restoration of George Stevens: A Filmmaker’s Journey (1985) produced and directed by his son Stevens Jr. who was in attendance. Stevens Jr. revealed that THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD (1965) is in the process of getting an epic 8K restoration for future distribution as well as GUNGA DIN which is receiving a new 4K restoration. Let’s hope that means we’ll see them get a disc release! @HDMOVIESOURCE@thedigitalbits@BillHuntBits
Light & Magic Sn2 on #DisneyPlus is even better than the first. I may be biased since it’s focused on the effects work done on the films of my childhood. This segment of Ahmed Best discussing the toll the Jar Jar backlash took on him, is particularly gut-wrenching.
